Heat wrap on my beautiful stainless tubes does the job. The aluminium shield that completely covered the stainless manifold did not help at all. I can touch the heat wrap after coming home from a trip on the highway while the car still idling to cool down. No more melted breather pipes!!! The quality of the wrap is important. The wrap I got from Rezlo is crap (sorry Ian) but the wrap I bought from XXX Sound in Centurion is da bomb, 15m per roll or @ R450 or R30 / m. I used about 10 meters. Keeping the rest in case I need to fix it.
Wrap or Shield
Tried for 2 hours last night wrapping the manifold, its a bit too tight, so now
I got about 14m of the stuff left, if any one want let me know, you can buy meter sections if you want.
Got no choice will need to shield, but now I'm only going to cover the essentials. 😕
Stainless steel works for shields, but like I said, it needs a lining on the "inside" to work best.
Get it laser cut and bent, can make it look real good and maybe even puyt a logo in it. 😂

Mine is also very tight. This time I was clever... 🙄 Put it on while the manifold was off the car. Always started at the engine side of the tube ending up somewhere on the turbo housing. Used hose clamps on the start section to secure, out of sight. The already difficult manifold is now even more difficult to mount because there is even less space between the tubes to tighten the nuts :x

That is how far I got... I think it would be much easier outside the car...
Yeah the Zip-Ties was a temporary thing to quickly fasten then wrap...

You had me worried there for a sec.... 😮 😂
Vlade where did you get your wrap again?
Also Johan where did you get yours and Pricing if possible.
Vl@de's branch looks good, Want to wrap mine like that.
I'm not going to wrap mine no more... so my wrap is for sale.... still got about 14m of the stuff left...
Why? If I may ask?
I can't fit it the way I want it, I want it to looks like Johan's but only way I can do that is removing the manifold and fit it outside, I don't have the patience to try again 😂
I think it will work da bomb if time and effort is spent fitting it...

Bought mine at XXX Sound in Centurion, east of the Centurion Centre, opposite the road from Godfathers restaurant. R450 for 15 meters.
It seems like mine are not just thicker, but also more flexible. It was way easier to wrap with a 50% overlap than the previous stuff I bought. That was very thin and not flexible.
I recommend you wear latex gloves or be prepared to scratch yourself for a few hours 😉
Yeah tell me about it... that stuff is really itchy
Nah it wraps easy enough there isn't enough space between the manifolds pipes, the pipes actually touch each other on the top bends
So this is what I did now...
