i hate turbos

I'm looking at a GT35 maybe sometime in the "far" future.

I just need to do alot of supporting mods like a ECU, Injectors, pistons, Custom intake, top mount manifold....

But then the CA18 will have the go.... 😂

I'm planning at T4/T5 hybrid with an internal wastegate and custom manifold.....in the far far far far future...

VC you got supermodel on your brain....and the club pimp does it for you hey....is cool bru...it's a free country, glad you came out of the closet...

Draco, keep it up boet, you are starting to sound like Calibrator...

T4/T5?? Boost will come in very late, no??

Why not rather village bicycle... T3/T4. If you get the right exhaust housing it should do wonders on the CA18. They are quite cheap in comparison - R2900 - R3500 these days.

I agree that you have to live with the pain of turbo's...no matter how much you hate the unpredictability/reliability.

How many of you have installed an oil cooler though, to make sure that at least this temp is kept within limits? - small cost to pay to increase reliability and life of turbo.

no more power transistor for you.

i was recalling the time i caught the pimp trying some of his biatches clothes on!!! hahaha.

DDracomoderator26 Sept 2007, 13:05

Lag will not be a problem because I am going to use a ar48 exhaust housing, that will help the spool up, with this I want to boost around 0.8 or 1 bar, for this turbo that will hardly be work...so it should hold for a long time....and obviosly....o baby... 😂

com on bru....I was just plotting...believe it cos it's true...

SSpeed breeder26 Sept 2007, 13:12

When do you anticipate the turbo to be on boost then in the RPM range?

DDracomoderator26 Sept 2007, 13:18

I can really not be sure, as far as my info goes it will have full boost by 3200 revs with a full throttel....that will be confirmed when I do it, the custom manifold should help flow and spool up too.

SSpeed breeder26 Sept 2007, 13:25

my mama says you been watching waterboy recently...

SSpeed breeder26 Sept 2007, 13:28

sorry, comment directed at VC...Poll options..

Draco, maybe also then go for an external wastegate...Aren't these more reliable to contain exhaust gasses until the preset boost limit is reached?

I don't like the external wastegate, that is where alot of people pick up problems, the biggest thing for me is space and money....an extra +- R2000 for the wastegate and extra for labour....

A 1 bar actuator with a custom internal waste gate will be much less complications, money and time.
