What is next for my ride...

vveecee18 Jun 2008, 09:20

problem is you only do 10km/h, there is no smoke, no sensation of speed, and a lot of dirt under your car!!!

LOL.

we all gotto start somewhere!

HHancoB18 Jun 2008, 09:41

No actually if you are mad like me you do about 60km/h and play with the clutch and revs alot!

oh and for the dirt...thats why we have "tuinslange" down here!

HHancoB18 Jun 2008, 12:08

Ok so here is the pics, took me about 45min to fit them all!(Excuse the crappy cellphone pics)

It makes a huge difference, it totally feels like a new car. I didn't even know my car can handle this good!

Ok since my last post here I did a lot of things like fitting a new head gasket and a GT28RS turbo, upped the kw to a moderate 165kW(stock cooler and .6 bar)

Tomorrow I am getting my 3 piece strut braces. Front upper, rear upper and a rear lower. I can't wait to fit them.

Got them for really cheap R800 including shipping.

I will post pics tomorrow before and after fitting them.

hey wankoB

please send me the ebay link for those.

i would like to get me some!

HHancoB18 Jun 2008, 21:32

Sorry VC dont have that no more, but anyway...that was the last set of those too!

Sorry

HHancoB19 Jun 2008, 11:49

Since I fitted the braces I decided to strip the boot and get rid of all the rattles and noises. With the exhaust being just a pipe to the back it tends to vibrate a lot and loosens all the screws and nuts...now if you only read BACK VIBRATE SCREW and NUTS you can see I'm from CT

I took everything out and removed all the stuff you dont need. I took a a 6 layer ply wood piece and cut out the shape of the carpet in the boot. Removed the spare wheel and tools.

Vacuumed all the holes and cleaned everything. Then took some GemChem and glued a swazi kombers to the playwood on both sides.

It helps in noise reduction...a lot!!!!

Then fitted everything back and now just need to cut some new carpet.

the hunt is on!!!

i want some wikked struts too! 8)

HHancoB19 Jun 2008, 21:46

But as I said, I bought the last set of those specific braces!

vveecee19 Jun 2008, 21:54

a while back i saw a set of braces with a CF brace, and dull gold powdercoated brackets...

those were 99 dollah a set, but this was about a year ago i think, and shipping would've been about 60 dollah i think.

anyway - i'm gonna look for those cos they will really match the metallic grey and bronze colour them on my car!

HHancoB19 Jun 2008, 22:10

Shipping is 90$ and then customs fee about R95
