Thanks šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚

But please dont start this rooi thing again. We had enough of that in the past.

It is these plastic wire covers you buy from accessory shops. And the breather pipes and some water pipes were simply painted with the rebuild. Some pipies did not last the paint job tho.

well...

seeing as we're being pedantic, its not really a washer. its actually called a restrictor. if i get the gist of the conversation!!!

the other funny thing is that i've rebuilt many a ca18det, and i don't recall ever noticing a restrictor in the crankcase breather hoses - interesting!!!

CChemCooladmin26 May 2008, 19:07

Well. surprise VC, I still got one restrictor in place and so had Derek?
VC, did you swallow a dictionary or what? This is going be futile.( I have seen this word on this forum before) šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‰

so now i'm being precise with you!

and i wasn't saying i dont believe - i was just saying that i'd never noticed one before - is'all???

gees! šŸ˜€

Gees šŸ˜‚
Great. Yip , we know by now what it is all about. šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‰

BTW, you did not ask for a piccie on this restrictor?? 😮 😮 šŸ˜‚
And what is this restrictor suppose to restrict in our ca18det's? šŸ™„

vveecee26 May 2008, 21:35

i actually dont know why they would restrict the crankcase ventilation.

i know they put a similar restrictor into ballbearing turbo's oil feed line, cos they need less oil, but why in a ventilation hose??? i dunno!

CChemCooladmin26 May 2008, 21:38

And VC I cant recall seeing something about this in the FSM.
