JUST A HEADS UP DUDES...

i sent one of my cronies to the practice at the rock this evening!!!

by the sounds of things - the drifting is really taking off!!! there are many many more guys out there practicing, with the lineup of cars really getting broad spectrum too.

there is a really big turnout of s13's - as is to be expected.

there are a number of s14's - the most notable drifter is charel. he's installed a welded diff (permanent lock cant be that bad!!!) and is drifting like a total champ now!!! some guys are just blessed with talent!

the lumina UTE is just a savage!!!

the skylines rule as usual!

the german contenders are also showing their excellence!!! these are the beemers - M3's and 328i's.

and the most notable newcomer - an aged old mercedes. 70's vintage E-class if i am not mistaken. i wasn't there myself to see it, but i cannot wait for saturday. sounds like its going to be awesome!!!

i hope the kimberley dudes will also attend!!!

YEAH - ROLL ON SATURDAY!!!

That 70's merc had a Chev V8 and a 4 speed box! The guy was still green, but he managed to fill the ENTIRE oval with tyre smoke!

Well then you guys missed out the week before.
There was an R34 GTT with huge power and drift was not an option, the thing was insane!

is there going 2 b hot rods as wel or just drifting??? either way i will be there

Last week there was a youngster (about 16 years old), with his Dad's Lumina. The old man gave him the car and let him have fun while sitting and watching from the Pit Area.

I wish I had a dad like that....

Mind you, the Lumina had a set of 19" rims on as well...

That young dude was there again, what you might not know is he's also a champion in the sprint races with a 13B powered sprint car! So yeah, the dad has no probs handing him the keys 😛

er no, apparently the car that was drifting had vertical headlights and fins in the rear, this points to the Mercedes Benz w111, an s-class. The "e-class" of the era was the w110. Notable difference between the 2 was that the "e" had round head lights and not vertical ovals like the "s".
