Not bad car looks good... but R70 for a stock SX?

Well done to pricefixing! hehe

+1, bloody hell that's an optimistic price but it does look to be in very good condition judging by that one pic.

Hey Nodster,

I might have some good news for you!! I just spoke to Rowan again (the car you were interested in from gumtree ad) - he was a little pissed off because someone on the forum knows him and thought (wrongly) that I said that he was shark.

This is not the case Rowan's friend - reread my post: "I'm not gonna slag Rowan off - if he's fixed the car in the meantime then fine, but just thought you should know."

Anyway, back to the point. He's just told me that he has in fact fixed most of the problems that the car had including coil-overs, T28 (which is a hell of a lot better than the XSpower T3/T4 that was on) etc.

I guess what I'm trying to say is: check the car out THOROUGHLY and take someone with that knows these cars. Don't make the same mistake as me (and a lot of other guys on the forum).

i will actually give him a call now and ask for more detailed pics, thanx!! 😉

oh n by the way, i test drove that white SX today so i lost my SX virginity!! 😈 😈 😛

that car was beautifull 😳 😳
its stock standard and pushes 132kw, just too bad for the pricefixing!! 🙄 🙄

DDracomoderator14 Aug 2008, 14:54

132kw on the wheels? that is not standard.....a standard sx pushes between 80 and 100kw max depending on the dyna.....then again....some dynas show 200kw when it's actually 160kw.....

its at the coast 😉

vveecee14 Aug 2008, 18:15

its also a turbo, so that doesnt make the world of difference!

oh ya, forgot that turbo cars stay the same, but NA cars change!! 😳
ya, was dyno'd at Kosie Swanepool!!

mmono14 Aug 2008, 19:38

Here in ct my sx made 126kw when it was std 132kw sounds like a bit more boost has been added if there are no mods

rratadmin14 Aug 2008, 19:42

My stock one with a 63mm zorst made 135kw

could be, coz its running on a stock exhaust!

HHancoB14 Aug 2008, 20:06

Ok that 132kw can be standard.

Its not on the wheels tho, thats at the fly.

I know when we first had Jean(86)[stock s13 stock wheels and stock engine and zorst] car on the dyno it read 146kw, then some tad bit of tweaking with the fueling and timing later we ended up on 155kw.

http://200sx.za.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=37837&highlight=#37837

So it can be possible. But def not rwkw!

nnodster14 Aug 2008, 21:32

well, i dont know if i can compare it like this, but in the cape my friends push arround 128kw at the flywheel with their vtec, and that sx i drove 2day with the 132kw felt way faster than that, dont know if a direct comparison is possible though??
well, at least i drove a sx, so now i know a bit more about what im getting myself into! 😀

mmono14 Aug 2008, 22:20

When you do choose to mod i would def go for the exhaust first that mod pushed my power up to 150kw and its sounds awesome

HHancoB15 Aug 2008, 09:17

Ja remember that honda had 128fwkw and about squat Nm torque where ass the sx has 132fwkw and 240Nm

Get what I'm saying!

😮 😮

EEro_sennin15 Aug 2008, 09:28

yea people tend to only look at the kw and forget about the torque, and torque makes a big difference.

HHancoB15 Aug 2008, 09:31

Ha ha just keeping with the cape town theme of national ass week!

Sorry ment to say "where as" but Im kinda stuck on this

and damn I like this
