Stumble at high revs

hey dude, got mine on monday afternoon, our cleaner stacked it with my magazines, so I only found it tuesday morning 😈 . Gary's dad fitted for me today. can't run at the moment cos the road is wet. kinda feels like the power delivery is better tho. don't know if i'm imagining kW here. guys, what would a walbro 255 do to power delivery?

Sorry to say but yes it can.

Happened to me too. (My previous car.)

a high performance engine can only produce power = to the amount of A/F it receives. Take it like this, if I put a FPR on your car and set it to 1 bar your car wont go very well, on a dyne the max power figures would be down in the dumps. But let it get the right amount of fuel and bobs your uncle! 😉

I tell u what, i did go abit hooligan on the gas pedal, and fook me sideways, i almost spun the car, oh yah, i was on a str8 road 😉

RReeceZ15 Oct 2008, 23:31

although, i still have this feeling its gona stumble again. my IC and the piping are not exactly performance friendly. my hot and cold pipes are squashed against my bonnet, so i think i need ot get that sorted to be rid of this prob

I dont think it would push up the power alot if the car is running fine but then we wont change our pumps. Think it gives back what youve lots with the f**ked pump and a bonus for being nice. What did it di to your feul consumption is what i want to know?

rratadmin16 Oct 2008, 07:18

wonders for mine

RReeceZ16 Oct 2008, 14:02

I don't really watch fuel consumption, cos I only use the car on a saturday, i just fill bout r100 for the day. i'm going for a dicktator after i fit my IC and piping so I'll probably have a better idea then.

ppoizenmoderator18 Oct 2008, 12:10

hey man i replaced my plugs and all stumble gone i think was a breaking down plug

RReeceZ18 Oct 2008, 14:34

Difference between yours and mine, I got my turbo boosting higher, so in my case an uprated fuel pump sorted my trouble out. Now I just gota get my tools and some clamps in my car for tomorrow, in case anything pipes decide to blow of 😈

Jeez, took me longer to find this thread than it did to sort the problem out. okay so two months later the answer seems to have been... FUEL FILTER :!: :!: :!:

Thanks Gary's dad 😀

rratadmin11 Dec 2008, 08:40

cant be as bad as mine was 😀

RReeceZ11 Dec 2008, 09:01

Cars seems to be more responsive now anyway, now that it feels to be running alot better, i'm gona try to get some drag practice runs somewhere quite then i think i'll hide the car in the garage for december since metro is out and about.

Glad to hear its finaly sorted Reece 8)

RReeceZ11 Dec 2008, 23:23

Me to man, now i just wish it'd stop raining so i can drive without counter-steering when I put my foot down (Hesketh beware 😈 )

RReeceZ14 Dec 2008, 08:55

Just my luck, it happened again, worked fine during the week, but last night when this MPS wanted to annoy me it happens in 2nd and 4th. (still beat his ass tho 😂

DDracomoderator23 Jun 2010, 09:49

So what was the problem Reece?

RReeceZ23 Jun 2010, 11:15

Don't really know, but the dictator sorted it out.
