LOL, PFB, you just couldn't resist wrapping it in heat wrap hey?

It works what can, I say

My nice new Stainless steel branch will be wrapped aswell 🙂

yip, that I know, although I'm more into ceramic coating. A bit more expensive but comes without the itch and hassles. So when are you building a nice stainless induction pipe for it.

PPinkfluffybunnys18 Jun 2010, 08:57

Car has ali intake(also heat wrapped), It’s a CAI already and the thermal spacer keeps the intake nice an cold to the touch...

Got my Stainless steel branch yesterday. Very nice stuff will take pictures later.

Just Worked out that I have spent almost R33000 rand in modifications to the car.

Fark that’s allot of money .

REAAAAAALLY pretty... I love the SS manifolds. would also wrap it though like you said before. burnt an alternator once with an un wrapped branch.

You got the VVL working again? When will we see some dyno numbers?
Really interested in your build - looking at something similar but on another platform. 😉

LLindt22 Jun 2010, 11:15

Well, I got my Tune on this morning

The car is set at between 15.8 -15.2 light throttle (highway)

14.8 -14.2 Light Load

13.8 -13.3 Full Throttle

LLindt28 Jun 2010, 10:14

can I ask a quick question, why didn't you move the lambda sensor to after the last collector?

PPinkfluffybunnys28 Jun 2010, 11:54

The Bung is blocked by the shifter linkage at the collector

They welded the down pipe on skew, I did a little research and the stock location isn’t too bad but not the best

But it will have to do for now

ok, thought there might have been something in the way. should be fine there, I might have swopped it to the 1-4 pistons, as they are normally the ones that run lean.

Cool, I will try that 🙂

thinking of porting the intake manifold aswell 😀

LLindt03 Jul 2010, 07:50

do it, would have been nice if you could send it to the states to be extrude honed, best way to do a intake manifold

I would like to do that but I was thinking of asking a good friend to cut it open for me, I will port the inside then begging him to weld it up for me.

Guy knows how to weld dont want to ask the guys in PTA to do it.

PPinkfluffybunnys12 Jul 2010, 07:22

Howzit Guys...

Little update.

The car ran a 15.5 at tarlton on friday.

LLindt12 Jul 2010, 11:05
