I think even gary would agree with me that a project car is no small amount of work and the end result is always in mind!

I have no doubt that gary will put that motor in a corsa1 bakkie, I have no doubt that he'll do an excellent job, and i have no doubt if it was more than a run around car he would have explored much more powerful avenues.

But gary makes it very clear that this car would be used for no more than a delivery vehicle, and for that purpose alone i don't believe the effort is just.

@ gary: Have you considered looking for a bakkie that has already been modified to your desired result?

Na this will be my daily drive so it needs to have some go aswell as being able to take my dogs to the beach and putting the odd RB25 in the back 😂 .

Yeah but as you said not many people do this mod and I dont want a C20LET motor powered one. Also when you buy someone elses modification you never know what short cuts they took or how it was treated or driven.

The end result is the only reason to do a mod, trust me I would far rather watch F1 than doing an engine transplant, especially when thing dont work out as planned.

With that all said i wish you the best of luck with the project and am sure it'll be a success.

Does this mean you lost to a CA?

Thanks, now just need to find a cheap bakkie... 8)

Na DriftZ said that, he has SR, I still run CA. Fitting a few RB25s to S13's in next few months...

Sounds like fun!
I've alway wanted to do the rb thing, but seeing as mine is an everyday drive
I'm a bit worried about the Fuel consumption...

Just curious, how would you compare a rb s13 to a VG30DETT s13?

Fuel consuption will depend only on how you drive it. Remember these motor were in production cars so they must of had a decent fuel consumption back then.

I would prefer a RB over the VG purely because of parts that are available for it. Also 1 turbo is cheaper than 2, etc. But the VG is shorter so you could sit it further back in the engine bay and get a better weight distribution.

I suppose they are much of a muchness...

I've emailed you the pic.

And while we're mentioning engine swaps, what designation is the 350Z and Navara motors?
How would they fit in an S13?

Nice thing is that they are supported by nissan motorsport locally.
