V-Belts? power steering belt? fan belts? sounded metallic to me.. didnt want to run it too long, no water in rad etc.

Nice to hear it start again... damn i shoulda put that motor in my colt ๐
Was the meth connected? to where? where is the nozzle? i see the throttle body has a blanked off portion.. thats where the nozzle should be, but its not there???
hmmmmmmmmm?
๐
NiiiiiiiCe!!!
nope, the nozzle goes on the s/s tubing at the intercooler exit behind the bumper... the blanked off fitting on the s/s plumbing just before the throttle was put there for future use... ๐ that fitting is tapped for a NOS fogger...

yup!!!
well, it started last week.. fitted new solid engine mounts and he has decided now that starting, is not on!

Fingers crossed!!

Call alberton seals and hydraulics, ask for a 100x50x12x12 - R220 for 2.. U will need to drill the car to make them fit though..
They fit nice, but are 10mm to shallow. I had to space them to get em to work.
Will let u know if it works out ๐
Rims are lekker hey?
Installed Turbosmart Fuel pressure regulator and a whole bunch of new hose and AN fittings.
Were done, other than some wiring glitches. Will be replacing the fire damaged stuff sometime, think its working for now though, so if i can just get it running ill be happy.
..
Right.. so its getting mapped at the moment, we couldnt get it started the week after the last video.
Outcome:
Coils out by 120 degrees and no earth on the motor
Starts first time now! yay! Raised the back of the bonnet.. not sure about this just yet.

Problems with mapping it though, rich, then lean, then fine- culprit, faulty air and water sensors.. waiting on stock. Hopefully it will all be perfect soon.

We installed the new Bosch 044 pump and removed the old "whine-bro".. i love the turbosmart FPR - work of art!!

Sergio from Docs Tech does all the mapping. Genius! Docs Technologies / mail: info@docstech.co.za

Right so heres where we stand.
Sergio spent many hours tapping the inlet manifold and fitting a air temp sensor, redoing all the injector and wiring to coils, changing the water temp sensor etc, after all that we got stable readings on the dyno.. he mapped it and was happy with the results.
Dyna Pack - Hub Dyno, which btw is very stingy on numbers!
1.28 bar at 7200 rpm is producing 390kw at the wheels! and 570nm of torque
Sergio reckons at 1.7 or so we should be making 450kw on his dyno, which would equate to around 500kw on a Hyper Power etc..
Very happy, the cars a beast!
Only problem now is a slipping clutch, but i have a feeling that some oil has spilled onto it during the transplant etc.
๐
the raised bonnet helps ALOT for cooling. though i see yours is pretty high.. maybe bring it down a tad so that it doesnt look so obvious. You gonna get people trying to pull you over to tell you your bonnets open!.. ๐

thx, will have graph up soon ๐
Very nice... ๐ love the dyno results...
๐ f3CK I miss this car
Congrates ๐
Nice to see this car making BIG power again ๐
I would really like to see 500kw from a Hyperpower dyno up in Jo-Burg 8)
