wwidowmaker20 Mar 2007, 23:17

well it could happen
i once got flashed when i popped my lights up - yeah i really did

CChemCooladmin21 Mar 2007, 00:52

freddy, you still got that alu front lip? maybe we can make a mould of that too (or sommer use that as the "mould")

Yip, it is available 8) 8) 8)

TTobyadmin21 Mar 2007, 11:05

Geez this will be great if you can pull it off, window! How about the center console cover in real CF? Also, could you do slightly more complex things like the bottom and top cover of the fusebox in the engine bay?

GGary5722 Mar 2007, 09:12

I want the center console in CF. I looked into it as soon as I got my car but no one down here does CF.

vveecee22 Mar 2007, 11:57

hmmm...

see'ing that you can now do more complicated things, how about making the adjustable suspension arms for my car out off CF.

just mould them to nice big nuts (I know!!!) at the ends of the shaft (yes - i said shaft) so that i can easily insert my spherical bearings into them!!!

K????

GGary5722 Mar 2007, 12:51

hehehe...

i knew i would get a response like this, but i expected it from toby first!!!!

wwidowmaker22 Mar 2007, 16:03

yep, yep, yep - keep the ideas coming - im getting charged here
only thing keeping us is that it is really wild at work - we are renovating and have been moving around in the building - and I (sucker) had to redo all the network and telephone cables and trunkings and climb in ceilings the whole past FUCKING THREE WEEKS. almost finished now (while doing my real job that normally takes me about 10 hours a day), so one of these days i'm gonna make fibre like theres no manyana. my head is in it already. got the tools. got the nuts. got the balls. got some spare moolahs so why not.

watch this space... age material

i check out things in traffic that will look better in CF - it pops great ideas
like the spare wheel cover on the pansywagon

but i'll like to "start" with easier thingies first (been a while since i made everything with fibreglass). fuse box... mmm thats a great idea - or heat shields for your air filter, or that strut inbetween the lights. easy with the heavy stuff that must support weight like mags or arms - dont want lawsuits yet. we'll get there, we'll get there. so VD, put your nuts away for a moment - but not too far.

and shit, this weekend my sister is getting married in Bloem, so another weekend in sy moer. I have seen about 6 sxi in Bloem before - if I can just give one of them a bunch of sxnesscards then we are growing again!
tadaa!

wwidowmaker22 Mar 2007, 16:06

hey, later on we can make a custom-fit loadbox like those extra boots you either put on the roof or hang from the rear. hows about this - you make it so that you first lift the bootlid, then put this jobbie inbetween the lid and body and viola! instand station wagon!!!

TTobyadmin22 Mar 2007, 17:39

Maybe you can make an SX-branded box for VD to wear while he's driving his SX, so that he can keep his spherical bearings in his pants instead of inserting them into bits of suspension... 😂

wwidowmaker22 Mar 2007, 18:24

hehehe
well, if youve got it, flaunt it!

wwidowmaker25 Mar 2007, 19:43

VVladeadmin26 Mar 2007, 10:52

Window got a place where you can get CF from

A M T Composites (Pty) LTD
011 392 4232

Its about R300-R400 a square

vveecee26 Mar 2007, 11:40

yeah thats what i suggested!!!

LOL - but i thought they were SMT!!!

anyway last time i was there, they were very helpful, and there was a lady there who i would've employed on the spot if i could 'cos she knows plenty about this field of expertise!

wwidowmaker26 Mar 2007, 15:40

uhu? that had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that she was blonde, young, gorgeous and was wearing loosely fitting garments? you just kept on asking about the products that were on the lowest shelf (or the highest), didn't ya?

you naughty naughty!
R400 per square... i'm sure there must be a better way... but for now i'll go and get a couple to play with. (i mean a couple of sheets - NOT SALESLADIES)
