really like the front bumper and side skirts on your GTR, do you know who made them, and if they part of the same body kit?

thanks

there is a logo on the inside of the bumper, will have a look and let you know

I think yours is also Yanack, like mine, different shape, are your front fenders alu or glass?

alu fenders

Turbo shuffle?

At light throttle cruise the output from the rear turbo compressor overcomes the compressor on the front turbo and stalls it which then causes pressure to build up behind the front turbo turbine which then spins the front turbo in a short burst that overcomes the rear ... and so on.

Best cure is to use inlet manifolds with a balance pipe e.g. HKS which then evens the pressure between the turbines and should stop the problem.

seems to be that the HKS turbos are the worst affected by this, specially the larger ones 50mm+ compressor wheels
dont seem to be as much of a problem with the garrett units or turbo's with compressor wheels smaller than 50mm - unbalanced wastegate actuater settings or boost control issues could also cause one turbo to spool up faster than the other
splitting the turbou outlet "twin" pipe seems to help also

that is the cleanest best looking RB26DETT ive ever seen ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

RRudeBoy12 Aug 2010, 18:24

Yea - absolutly love Andre's R32....

if i could get mine anywhere near as neat as that i'm going to very happy indeed... and i'm trying very hard

engine mounts, and all brackets (p.s / ac etc), plate between motor and gearbox, all soda blasted and powdercoated today. should have them tomorrow

twin turbo pipe, droped at Piet's Fab lab to cut and weld in seperator plate to avoid "turbo shuffle"
interesting vid here for this mod
http://www.elitetech.co.uk/ttpolish.htm

just orderd, ATI 1000hp damper pulley kit and turbosmart twin turbo dual stage manual boost controller

nn1smo200sx13 Aug 2010, 07:59

That Ati dampner have saved many a crank!
Or else get a N1 crank....R35K?

TTobie13 Aug 2010, 09:36

The problem with that is if you have a N1 (R35k) crank you would like to protect it by using a expensive damper. lol
