My O ring was swollen and very over sized so I cut it and joined it with O ring glue 😛 .

Vade,I think you must go see a doctor with that swollen o-ring!When my Ca18 gave up,overheated once then heat seized and still ran I got 4km on a litre of petrol.Surprisingly not really used oil!!

its a pity you didnt see vlade's instructions for making things tight again. you probably wouldn't have had to cut your swollen ring!!!!

vlade's method involves screwing, marking and playing to make it tight. your swollen ring would've enjoyed that much more!!!

hehehehe 😈 😈 😈

I get about 600 to 650km on a tank in town.

gees - if mine was super-oversized then i would have... oh hang on, we talking about rubber seals!

mine is squashed plat. so even with the screws the length that they are, it doesnt seal lekka. i dont want to use silicone or anything like that, that everyone suggests, cos i want to have repeatable access to the inside of the tank.

so i need a new one. is'all!

mmono13 Apr 2007, 09:28

Mine as well was oversized and it broke when I put on a new fuel pump. Wat do they go for guys ?

**My SX is completely stock and I average between 8km - 12 km to a litre of fuel, on the open road to Durban I got the same consumption at 120km/h as 160km/h. But Driving style always pays a big factor.

And get this, my car runs much better (as in really feel the difference) on the BP 93 and 95 compared to other brands.**
