oky, I have a plan, but tell me if I am stupid or brave?
Pour a small amount of oil in each cyl... for extra lubrication, take out the sparkies. Pull the car at about 40km/h, put in 4th, slowly release the clutch, see if it will free?

your piston to head clearances are not righ so the piston is hitting a vaulve or somthing
^^^ that
are you 1 000 000% sure you have the timing right?
Yep, tripple checked it, timing is not the issue though, like I said, its got something to do with the bottom end
If the timing was not right it would have moved slightly to a point and then stop...and then back again....but it will not turn past a certain point....and puching that point breaks valves....so if it does not move at all....somethings wrong...
My advice, take off the head and see if the motor turns...I am sure you will be able to do that in an hour or so.....
will have to check if I can get it done before its dark, will try a few stuff, you guys will know tomorrow if it worked 😛
This is not going to end well...
hehe, I know..... At this stage, I am prepared to take that chance, If I had the time, I would have taken out the motor again, but unfortunately we are past that stage.

When I say turn...I mean with hand...not 40km/h and drop the clutch 😛
I know i know..... 😈
Either way, tomorrow at japfest, I will be able to tell the SAD story of my CA`s death, or the awesome story of its resurrection.... I know where my money is on
Hey man I it turned over then it stoped sumthing has to be holing it
Try this
Take out your cams see where your lifetrs sit if one has droped you could notice it
When the cams out try turn the motor over

Yes please!!!! 😈
A long time ago i had a Briggs and straton engine in a gocar that seezed up,I took a big wrence(bobejaan spanner) and got it losse it ran perfectly for the next year :!: 😀 .
Well, I think the problem is, that my no4 bigend has got some problems, but like you said, we had an old lister motor, gave it new bearings, didnt want to turn, we had to connect it to a Trekkers PTU, it started, Its been pumping water on our farm everyday ever since, thats now almost 12 years, so for me, its the sam, My timing is fine, I checked all my torque settings, and no4 bigend was everytime the issue, it turned if I torqued it, but very difficulty, so I think, new bearings, new rings, new cambelt tensioner, makes it stick a bit, and hope if I let it turn a bit, then it will be fine!
Did you give the bearing some volksie grease before you put it in 😀
Don't tell me volksie helped you....then you screwed buddy 😂
