Cool, thanks Andrew.200SX. Mr Turbo have a T28/T3 hybrid and I was wondering how it performs.
One more thing; was that 191kW at the wheels or flywheel?

I would assume that it is at the flywheel, but it was done at Dynotech and the guys say that it is a stingy dyno. One of the guys here on the forum with a RB25 gets 245 on that dyno. Also keep in mind that I have done no mods at all to the motor , and the intercooler is tiny .......aaaaannnnddd the turbo is basically 1 turn up from it's lowest setting @ .9 bar with quite a bit of travel to go. Izak at Dynotech said that I could go nuts on the boost for crazy power , but then I need Avgas.
I must also add that I have run with a non standard ( spitting flames out of the exhaust on gear changes ) 2010/11 Focus RS and we run neck and neck. I can't drop him and he can't drop me ! That is a 2.5 5 cylinder running 1.5 bar boost.

Hold up, I know 3 people that have complained about the Mr Turbo hybrids, the T28 hybrid. One person has replaced twice, my boet's one cracked, his friends one ran a bush and started tumbling, and another buddy, well he was a dumb ass, never let the turbo spool down before switching ignition off, but still, 3 months n gone.
I bought mine/ Andrew's from stallion turbo in PTA.
Thanks Powder, good to know.
The 1 that I got is specifically called the WR280. Yes it is a Chinese turbo and yes I have read all the warnings on the forums , but mine hasn't given me a days trouble and it was second hand ! 😉
which one of them will be the best match for a sr20 notchtop, making good power all the way without much lag?

Which is exactly why I fitted the WR280 ! If I had known a bit better , I would have fitted the WR380.

Neither has mine , but in a perfect world where money isn't an issue , we would all agree with you whole heartedly. Unfortunately we don't all have the luxury of doing our shopping from the top shelves. 😢

welcome to the world of Turbo cars... nothing is cheap,
Too True. 😕
thanks, I'll have a look if I can find a good jdm copy of the GT28RS, with the exact same spec, recon I can get one landed for bout +- 4k
I c you get them in 2 Sizes: 86 or 64 Turbine A/R
what's the best option?
I would recommend the Garrett GT3076.
Good for some big power and daily drive ability.
It is going to be my turbo upgrade soon. 😈 😈 😈

.64 for quicker spool , ie : less lag.
Yup agreed with Andre, the higher the AR, the higher the lag, so if you going big spec u want low AR. To reduce lag.
