Ok, so I am not as bad a welder as I thought I was ! Took the housing en alles to my welding supply company and spoke to the top welder there..Nice job he says..great I say..He did recommend a different grade filler and perhaps purging the inner housing.
Thats great but Ill simply clean up the after weld on the inner housing.
Said it was difficult to weld a 1.6mm tube to a 5mm stainless material successfully..

I personally know I have a lot of improvement ahead of me but overall , I feel ok !

Nate, post of the century bud !!!! ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰

Nice, I have the same setup, only 38mm wastegate, wich is too small ๐Ÿ˜ณ . Need 50mm + to keep boost stable.

BBigKriss30 Aug 2013, 16:19

Please don`t say that bud !! Went and bought a 45mm w/gate as I could not really fit the 60mm Tial !

and I`ve just sold the Tial !!

Ok, I am going to run a .82 A.R turbine. I have my doubts about it but on the positive side it should help with flow and creep.
Oh well , I`ll see when she is up and running..

ssmoothedgp31 Aug 2013, 15:27

It is pretty much official. She is off the road for the long awaited upgrade.

I need the current engine out to do some titivating and lekka maak while getting the last bits and bobs sorted on the new engine.

The new engine has a Tomei extended sump with baffles and pickup, all lekka stuff but I have to chop the 4wd diff and stuff off it.
Don`t feel to good doing that as I still want to build S.A.`s first S14 Gt-R..but that is what I have to do right now.

Will update as I go along...

Oops, did I plant a seed there Barry? ๐Ÿ˜‚

You track that car of yours evey minute you get, and we know RB motors has this little problem with oil pumps ect. I would go dry sump in a heart beat.

And its not complicated at all, some people see it as this dark art, when it is not. I sent you a mail on the dry sump pump I sell with the correct pulley. If you need contacts for the AN fittings, pipes and the crank pulley just let me know. Will assist where I can.

Cheers Mario, got the mail as well.
Have dry sumped many an Alfa v6 over the years so have played with them a bit.
I am really tending towards this big time..
