Drift Pig!!!

For 20 grand I would get a L28 Skyline.... and later replace the L28 with a RB25det.

Just went throught the Junk Mail, lots of 2.8 Skylines there... http://www.junkmail.co.za

If you can get a 2.0 SGLi model for a bargain, it uses the same drivetrain as the 3.0 SGLi, just add turbo, nos or RD25/6det/tt

Question: Does a 280zx have coils or leaf springs at the back?

stoopid answer: DONT BE SILLY!!!

this is a nissan we're talking about!!!

it has a very similar setup to the Z31 300zx, the s13 200sx, r32 skylines ('cept the gtr 4wd virgin)!!!!

SSokar16 May 2007, 11:02

Hmmmm...

Seen a Z for R23k in Nylstroom......

vveecee16 May 2007, 11:09

the only decent Z's are the 240z and the 260z.

i would rather have an old skyline than a 280zx. i reckon they're horrible!

SSokar16 May 2007, 11:18

do you know what the "X" in 280ZX Stands for???

SSokar16 May 2007, 11:29

Never mind, I see there are 2 variants, and the one for R23k is definately not a turbo... 🙁

jjohansx16 May 2007, 11:30

Silly me, forgot all about the 280ZX.... that was before the Zs got fat... and its got a L28 EFI... I have seen 240z pics with a Nissan VK45 4.5L V8. 273kw std....

Hennie would know that 😛

vveecee16 May 2007, 11:57

i was hoping he would see this.

i remember him saying it was 30kg's heavier than a CA18det.

so i've removed my aircon, and if i remove my ABS i will get another 15kg's at least.

so if i removed about 50kg's from the engine bay, and i replace it with 30kg's, i then have a net weight loss of 20kg's.

and i also have 200rwkw's without a turbo, and loads of torque, and a sexy v8 sound in a little, although heavy, sportscar!

schweet!

it can be nissayota!!!!

100 pounds more than a CA18.... thanks google 😉 (but it will leak oil)

wwidowmaker16 May 2007, 13:14

and just the name on the engine will make it boring

jjohansx16 May 2007, 13:21

I'd rather push my legless Datsun before I install a Toy motor 😉

vveecee16 May 2007, 13:57

how you gonna push a datsun without legs???

SSokar16 May 2007, 14:32

Theres a Toyota Cressida 3.0 GLS for R30k on autotrader 😛

GGary5716 May 2007, 14:41

You sold your S14 for what was it R63k and now you are going to send half of that money on cressida. Rather wait on buy a cheap S13 for R35-R40, its at least a far better car to drift with.

vveecee16 May 2007, 15:12

dude

if you get a cressida, then you HAVE to do either one of the following:

1. drift taxi - paint it black and yellow, and put a taxi sign on the roof.

2. drift police - paint it black and white, and put red and blue police lights on the roof!!!

with either one you will need lots of signage.

it will be legendary!!!!
