I'd love to come through sometime. But work is keeping me far too busy still. Definitely going to make a plan soon though.

cOOL MAN, thats how it's done proper....lazy ass I am...I just bought 6mm pipe and just added a small piece of silicone to go over the nipple...cheap...fast...effective.....

@ Daniel Yeah I know your work is keeping you busy big time, hopefully You can Get a Wednesday of!

@ Draco Had to do it like this, Melted my old pipes on Wednesday with the practicing, gets a bit warm down there! 😀

DDracomoderator16 Aug 2011, 08:28

I know what you saying, mine also burnt, thats why I bought 6mm "steel" pipes to run close to the hottest places.

DDracomoderator16 Aug 2011, 08:32

How was your wastegate connected....mine gives me alot of flutter if I drive like 1/4 throttle or so...where I just go into boost but don't give enough foot to go further into boost?

PP3g4susmoderator16 Aug 2011, 09:14

Do you mean the Direction of flow of the pipes?

DDracomoderator16 Aug 2011, 09:40

Yes...how you connected the vacuum pipes from boost/turbo to wastegate...

PP3g4susmoderator16 Aug 2011, 09:42

Will Chec for you, But as far as I know, the side feed on the waste gate is the feed, and the top one is the return, if that makes sense?

ppoizenmoderator16 Aug 2011, 09:48

the bottom port must have a short line going right into your boost line or turbo

the top vents to atmosphere or when using a electronic boost controller

PP3g4susmoderator16 Aug 2011, 09:52

lol, oky, that is very bad then..... 😕

ppoizenmoderator16 Aug 2011, 09:55

why what you done now

they suggest the line be no longer than 100cm else you get delays?flutters etc

DDracomoderator16 Aug 2011, 09:59

This is how I connected mine...as I say...I am getting fluttering on very light throttle into boost but not boosting as such....

ppoizenmoderator16 Aug 2011, 10:04

huge no no buddy

with a manual you need to leave top open you are fighting forces there

just connect the manual at the bottom see pic

DDracomoderator16 Aug 2011, 10:10

Ok....will try that....I was just scared of the 0.8 bar spring not able to keep the boost at bay...

PP3g4susmoderator16 Aug 2011, 10:26

yoh, oky, so it was not rightly done then.... Will need to get the lines done properly then!

ppoizenmoderator16 Aug 2011, 10:30

why what you do

DDracomoderator16 Aug 2011, 10:35

According to the internet the way I did it is right...but some also say they did it your way Mical...if I boost with half or full pedal I have no probs....but just light throttle into boost trying to control it not to boost further...then it flutters...

PP3g4susmoderator16 Aug 2011, 10:37

Closed "Circuit" between the waste gate and Boost controller, What does the top one do normally?

unless I have my nots in a twist, and the top one goes to the dicktator?

ppoizenmoderator16 Aug 2011, 10:42

if you have a manual boost controller you have to leave the top one off

when you got a electronic boost controller you use the top one the controller will apply set pressure from its own pump to keep the gate closed until you reach the set boost

the way you got it Draco will work but its still fighting forces at the same time

DDracomoderator16 Aug 2011, 10:46

I understand....thats the point though is it not....the electronic one does the same thing...only electronicly....but in anyway....if it works fine with only bottom port then thats ok for me...I will test it and see how it works...
