Oil in your boost pipes

Difficult to say Derek. With all other research and reading, nothing was touching this situation at all. But let us see, if time allows, why not. Can use Google perhaps.

is that valve there as standard? I know people add a 1way valve when they put a bigger exaust on to stop it smoking due the the pressure drop in the exhaust wich pulls oil out of the seals

That is the PCV or pvc valve.
what normally happens is that it slides out of position & blocks the pipe.

Shouldn't be a problem if it is not there, but you should start getting a little more oil in the pipes.

that was the valve I made mention the first time this thread started.

It's the PCV valve - positive crankcase ventilation valve. From a website:

The Positive Crankcase Ventilation valve is an emissions control device that routes unburned crankcase blowby gases back into the intake manifold where they can be reburned. The PCV system is one of the oldest emission control devices, and also one of the most beneficial. Besides totally eliminating crankcase emissions as a source of air pollution, the constant recirculation of air through the crankcase helps remove moisture which otherwise would cause sludge to form. Thus the PCV valve extends the life of the oil and engine. The PCV valve requires little maintenance. The valve and filter should be replaced somewhere around 30,000 to 50,000 miles (see the vehicle owners manual for service intervals).

The positive type of system utilizes manifold vacuum to draw the fumes out of the crankcase. The amount of vacuum is controlled by a positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve. This valve, when inoperative, will lead to either oil consumed through the intake system when stuck in the open position or when stuck in the closed position will lead to oil blowing back out the filter cap and out past the engine seals.

Most positive systems recommend cleaning every 6,000 miles and valve replacement every 12,000 miles. The standard type usually recommend cleaning when oil is changed. In either case, the breathing system should be completely gone through when major piston ring work is being performed. The success of a piston ring job today is very much dependent upon the engine being able to breathe properly.

It is a thick copperish valve/washer in the pipe itself, inside the pipe it seems like it is a onway valve or something but when it's out it looks like a thick washer with a small hole in, no valves or watever just plain round, thick with a smallish hole in the middle.

Whel woohaa logically it would give through more oil, hense my problem will become worse, the oppisite is happening, it seems to be gone.... :?:

Toby, this one is in the pipe itself, no springs nothing, the pipe on the right hand tappet cover to the turbo air intake

The first pic shows the washer / hole about 2cm from the opening of the pipe. Second pic the easher shows the thickness on right hand side op pipe-about 2cm inwards rifht to left. See the bulg or bulk side of the pipe.

I spoke to some macks, on specialising in nissan and another a friend that knows these engines a bit, according to them it makes sence now, the engine couldn't breathe proparly hense pushing out the compressed air together with oil ect. out where it could.

For some reason I am still a bit baffeled, all the sx's iv'e seen the two black rubber pipes on the oppisite sides on the tappet covers are connected with another black rubber pipe, mine does not have this connection pipe, I worried about this and and asked them this question...
must I put this pipe in to be safe, both said it is not neccasary.

Next time someone askes what these pipes are there for, it's not there for sxual karma, sxuality, sxual poopoligy, sxual frontoligy, sxual nudity, sxdrive, sxual activity, sxual pumping equipment or anything else, it's there for BREATHING... and I thought I knew everything 🙄

There you have it, my engin could not breathe properly, poor thing, it was starved for breath for such a long time, no wonder it didn't have hooper in it's pooper, now I can breathe, the engine can breathe and theres hooper in her pooper giving me more mocka for my chocka, no more hicky in her sticky or wacky in her cracky 😂
