Not my intension, but unfortunately a fact all-around, thats one of the reasons why I don't have one, the maintenance is high.

i reckon performance parts are expensive, but not more so than for a honda or a toyota or whatever!!!

the nissan genuine OEM parts are more costly, but once the thing is reliable again, i dont think its that expensive. *kicks murphy in the gonads* once you get it running reliably, then its merely a matter of regular maintenance.

these days people are willing to easily spend 10's of thousands on maintenance plans.

Before I got my intercooler from Vlade, I got a quote from Nissan for a new one.... R12500 😮

vveecee08 Jun 2007, 12:27

ok i retract my statement... performance parts - in relation to nissan messed up ideas about the value of parts - are cheap!

Hehe, far more accurate VeeCee 🙂

Ja I'm beginning to struggle a bit to run my car day to day to be honest 🙁

So did I, thats why I'm doing it right this time, well with some added benifits as well 😀

WWarrenS1308 Jun 2007, 12:50

Added benefits? Oh you must be reffering to the SR20DET conversion you're doing!!!!! You lucky bastard 😂

vveecee08 Jun 2007, 12:54

yeah warren...

these are old cars, and they do require some money to get them back to a actually reliable state of being!

i think i've spent at least an extra 15 grand on top of the original cost to get it to where it is now!!!

but i hardly ever have trouble anymore *farts in murphy's general direction again!* and i now know the car inside out!!! so any work needed to be done can generally be done in my garage!

WWarrenS1308 Jun 2007, 13:06

Ja I'm kinda just holding on to it hoping nothing really serious *read expensive* breaks until i have cash 2 fix it. I downloaded the workshop manual to check things out, but was frightened by 850 pages! 🙂 I'd do work myself but don't have a bleddy clue what I'm doing! But I'll sort it out one day!

And veecee, you've kicked murphy in the nuts and farted on him, u gonna make him mad! 😮

vveecee08 Jun 2007, 13:07

i laugh in the face of murphy!!!

*pisses in murphy's porridge*

TThe Calibrator08 Jun 2007, 13:12

Shh he will hear u and come take it out on me.
I have nearly earned my degree in advanced Murphy foiling techniques I have had so much fun with him.

WWarrenS1308 Jun 2007, 13:14

HeHeHE 😂 Actually keep it up, maybe he'll get off my back and onto yours! 😀

GGary5708 Jun 2007, 13:14

Murphey sees and hears everything, he is going to catch you.
