@ Twakkie - pull in at Nismo mania on Sunday at Tarlton. I will be there for most of the day. Your car is absolutely beautiful and maybe you end up doing what some of us have done here on the forum by having 2 x SX's. One to mod and another just to remain the way our boys in Japland designed it...
With all due respect to you, I urge you not to de-virginise this car as its one of the cleanest i have seen in SA. Also remember that a car is only original once.

Ugh!! Kammaan guys!! now your gona make me feel bad. i have anyway already started with a couple of things. I feel if its done clean it fine. ells my Anglia would still have been a 900cc!!

Fokkit! That sx is new! best one I have ever seen!
Dont do it.
DAMN now i also know what a std S13 looked the day it rolled off the factory floor! dude i have never owned a new car but that is as close to NEW as it comes.i bet non of the guys on this forum has bought an sx new . congrats man u dont get better than that. i wouldent mod it either but thats me . enjoy what ever you do to it .keep us posted.
Congrates 😀
there is so few stock clean ones like this around it would be regarded as a collectors item i promise you.
keep it and mod a different one PLEASE
Thats why i bought one that needed work and modded the shit out of that a whilw go 😉
Twakkies, I see you bought the one from Vredendal. I looked at it on Gumtree when I bought mine, but mine is a 1994 with 38000km on the clock now. I have done a few things to my car and I am putting the motor that should have been in when the cars were sold in SA, namely the SR20 DET. If the conversion is done properly, you are not "butchering" the car. Some of the cars I have seen certainly fit into the "butchered" category. A stock SX handles terribly and goes lousy at the coast. Do what you want to do and judging from your Anglia, you will do a lekker job. I don't know so much about fitting an RB, that is really changing the car. My two cents worth.Have fun. Cheers.
Yep that the one!! and so true about the handling, i just want to firm every thing up and round the car off. i have done a couple of things so far that i feel make the car a bit better without going to far out, slotted rotors (std brieke is k#k!), k&n flat bed, took that hideous wisco fan and cowling off!! and a 3" down pipe and system (don't put in three boxes though!!! ). that's almost good enough for now. the RB is way down the line but that is the dream, as long as it makes decent power i'm happy.
Ja, I put a 63mm full system on and I also fitted a 550x180x63 front mount intercooler without moving the battery. I took out the windscreen washer bottle and just filed the water filler hole slightly bigger and ran the cold side pipe through there. Fits lekker. I bought a windscreen washer bottle for a Mazde Midge (a Golf one will also fit) and mounted it on the firewall on the drivers side. Works perfect, but no water for the back window. That doesn't really worry me. The brakes are very k#k, for sure. I am fitting a Megan radiator from the States and a 4 button clutch with a GT2860RS turbo to my SR20 and that is it. The only other upgrade I will make will be the brakes, but that must just wait a bit. Expensive business, this flippin SX200!!! Cheers.
ill promise you one thing.. return everything as close to stock oem as you can , maintain it that way, and that car will be worth a lot of money a few years from now.. had i even seen this one for sale i would have bought it for that purpose..

Maybe. Only problem is then Twakkie can't put anymore mileage on it. For future value, low mileage. So, Twakkie, park hom in die garage en maak hom toe onder n seil.

no im sorry a 200sx is meant to be enjoyed not to be parking in a garage (unless its broken 😁 )

put it in a car bubble
😮 I need one of those!
I keep mine under a regular car cover, but after a few months all I have is a car covered in a layer of really finely sifted dirt

Or just drive it and wash it every now and then.
I hate car covers, they don't work well and scratch your paint. But I guess it protects it a bit from the sun if the car sleeps outside, so its a compromise....
Hahaba i like bubbles. well low mileage is not going to be an option. i'm a student and i use the car daily. i bought it to drive it. like these ladies that get these chines cutlery sets then they end up using it only once or twice in there lives coz its expensive. if that was me i would eat off it every day, you only live once.
My point exactly. A car is meant to be ridden, not stuck in a garage, and changed the way the owner wants to do it. That's why I sold my 330I and bought the SX. It is mine and I can customise it the way I want to. Twakkie, ry die kar tot hy uitmekaar uit val, soos ek met myne gaan doen. Pas hom mooi op, maar gee hom gas!! Cheers.
