Strut Brace

Most are in 3-piece sets and range from $39 right up to $300+

Shipping is a problem.

I made mine for just under a grand, best money spent.

I got shipping quotes for $40 - $52. On a Group Buy I'm sure it will work out well for everyone.

Here are the ones I'm interested in:

$99 front and rear CF set for S13

$69 each for aluminium front and rear braces. S13/S14 both available:

is that $99 each or $99 for a set?

The carbon ones are $99 a SET!

The alu is more expensive at $69 each so $138 a set.

There are cheaper braces but these are good quality ones.

thats a good deal, but those gold anodised ones are the shizz hey???

hectic bling!

i like the carbon one's, cos i'm not into bling too much!

and

IT fits yay , With a razed bonnet there will be no problem

DDracomoderator02 Aug 2007, 08:12

Have you got a photo of the brace before you cut the brackets?

PPhinx02 Aug 2007, 08:36

No sorry

DDracomoderator02 Aug 2007, 08:41

I am just not up for the idee of 1 bolt, can a person modify it to use at least 2?

GGary5702 Aug 2007, 09:40

You should bolt it on all three in order to keep the strut from twisting under hard steering.

i dunno man, its all welded in there after all.

The upper strut mount is bolted not welded. By ony supporting 1 bolt you are keeping the rear of the strut nice and tight but allowing the front to "float". It will make an improvement but there is plenty more that is just not doing.

vveecee02 Aug 2007, 10:20

sorry ...

assumed you meant the strut tower.

yeah the strut mount should have at least two bolts in.

but gary, what would you charge to make just the strut mounts???

perhaps we could make them lower so that we get proper bonnet clearance?

GGary5702 Aug 2007, 10:25

The bar is the key. You cant simply lower the bar cause of the clearance above the motor. As mine stands now, there is about 5mm clearance above the motor and about 2mm clearance under the bonnet.

I wont sell just the plates because I line them up with the bar on the car so I know it fits. I wont put my name to something if I know its not 100% correct, sorry guys.

Is any of you guys in CT? I've made those strut Braces, for most vehicles, front and rear 😉

Latest ones is for Uno and Astina front and rear.

EEro_sennin07 Aug 2007, 09:01

Thats why I'm looking for someone in CT.

All my friends got highly modified SX's so I can't make it from their cars.
