Brake disks and pads for S13

mmario_200sx19 Jan 2008, 19:43

I'm gonna order sum disks and pads for my car Monaday, mine are shot!

Front disks and pads and rear pads only, disks are fine.

As soon as I got all the details I will post the parts numbers and where to get it.

Ordering from Autozone. Apparently the S13 disks and pads is the same as Primera or Almera, not sure.

Friend of my dad thats building a main-circuit 200sx gave me the part numbers.

Will update.... And swear when I need to install them!! 😈

Excellent.

Can you get part numbers for the rear discs?? I'm not even gonna bother phoning nissan for a price.

So far the closest match seems to be the old skyline rear. Only difference is the Hat is 4mm higher. But I was thinking there are ways to get around that.

And can you also get the specs on the discs? So far it seems there are two different brakes for the s13 front and rear.

Ferodo performance discs for the S13 (280mm) are R1110 from sportflow.
OEM from Nissan is R975 + VAT. I fitted OEM fronts about a 5000km ago and they are already shuddering.

😮

chemcool had some major issues with break shudder.

but let him give you the details!!!

Brake shudder experience on all my sx's since 1991. Even with replaced disks by Nissan. Not good. Also I skeemed them, then you end up with troubles. Long story short=Powerbrakes work fine now.
You can check out previous threads on this issue. The sx s13 like in stock mode= cant brake. You will rather breake your neck 😮

well according to the troubleshooting brake charts they cause for my shuddering discs are low friction compound pads (OEM) or driver abuse 😮

The solution is stated as: "Skim or replace discs. Take it easy..." LOL. Ja right...

EEro_sennin22 Jan 2008, 00:07

mmmm, mine started shudering quit soon after the hard breaking technique was used quit a few times, stupid OEM

Any update Mario?

i will argue this everytime!

the stock s13 brakes are fine for a stock s13!!!

if they aren't working for you perhaps you need to think about the way you are driving!

the car was built for public roads, not for a racetrack.

and...

powerbrake is a fantastic upgrade. chemcool's discs look awesome!!!!

LOL - thats ironic because i have a set of upgrade calipers and discs and pads just waiting for upgraded brake lines to be installed!

wwidowmaker22 Jan 2008, 20:50

you guys are woosies - never had a problem

like JBoy's sticker : "the OLDER i get, the faster i used to be"
you probably also have that problem with your bodily functions, old people 🙄 :!:

vveecee23 Jan 2008, 07:04

you know whats even worse with the s13 brakes??? its the f_cking ABS that never friggin works.

i hate that shit, and as soon as i get some bucks for new custom hard lines i am throwing it away. all it does it sit there and do nothing most of the time, and when you need it most, it does even more nothing.

yes it works, if you're asking. if you're driving in a straight line, and you apply brakes hard enough to just get the tires slipping a little.

but if you're in a slide, and you're tires are locked anyway, what damn help is that.

the asshole ABS system on these cars is antiquated at best, and mine will be gone as soon as possible. maybe with the extra weight i save, i can hit the pavements harder!!!

on the other hand - i dont know exactly what plastic the bumpers are made, but they are hardcore. they stand up to concrete barriers at 30-40km/h no problem!
