mmario_200sx06 Feb 2008, 12:39

PPhinx06 Feb 2008, 12:59

Oil squirters maybe?

Did you forget to pocket you pistons or intall them the wrong way?

PPuls0nic06 Feb 2008, 15:49

Maybe he meant fuel injectors? THough if it IS females we're talking about, then I got a injector ready! 😂

GGary5706 Feb 2008, 16:11

The CA18DET has oil squirters under the piston, to spray oil onto them to keep them cool.

mmario_200sx06 Feb 2008, 16:17

my engineer told me that if i cant find any, he will just machine some.

why not have your engineer just build you some.

DDoctor G06 Feb 2008, 18:03

I may be wrong but I think they are the same as sr20det ones.

I recently picked up a set from the states for $120.

Even nissan don't have any. Import. 6 weeks.

VVladeadmin06 Feb 2008, 20:14

Man I have a perfect pic... But my gut is telling me not to post it

vveecee06 Feb 2008, 23:53

but if that damn forum rules button comes back, i know where you live. i will send the "courier service" round to your place!!!

EErnie07 Feb 2008, 12:27

hey guys

oil squirters are what im looking for! 😀

Cant find any... Anyone got any Ca18DET motors they are breaking up?

VVladeadmin08 Feb 2008, 08:47

By the guess of it, piston skirts hit the squirters?

vveecee08 Feb 2008, 17:53

like i said - just get your engine builders to make some.

its not like its a complicated piece of timing eqiupment, its just an oil squirter.

its basically a brass straw with a bolt in the middle!

if the suirter aint correct the oil will pi$$ out there too much and the car will run bearings cause the crank will suffer oil starvation.

Speaking from first hand experience (Unfortunately!)

vveecee09 Feb 2008, 21:36

but i said that the engineer should be able to make one...

i didnt say go look in your garage for an old piece of steel and use a dremel too and drill press???

surely if the engineer can make them, then he should be able to gurantee that they will work???
