mild steel for branches (so it can expand and contract without cracking), stainless for the rest.

Hmmm, its up to you and your price range really.

A good mild steel system goes for about R1500 and can last well for 18 - 24 months
A S/steel system is about R6000 - 8000 and lasts 5 - 10 years.

My feeling is you can buy 6 mild steel systems before you equal the price of the s/steel, no difference in performance between the 2.

So if you gonna keep the car for 5 - 10 year then go stainless, it also looks better 😛

But if you are gatvol and might flog the car in the next 2 years, go mild steel.

uhm - 6-8 grand???

you can have stainless for about 3500 - 4000. thats mandrel bent too!!!

i got quoted by exhaust man in honeydew/lazer park.

they do some nice work - but they aren't the cheapest apparently!
