matte black wrap

has anybody done this?is it worth it?and what did it cost?

DDriftZ19 Aug 2010, 19:33

its awesome, did it to a 350Z just on the roof, but i got some other guys to do their entire cars.. even a SL 500 🙂 only prob is the really tight curvy corners.. if your car is actually a light colour, you may see it peeping out a bit in these area.

but from my experience its better than matt paint, easier to look after and it protects the original paintjob underneath.

But lets get one thing straight.. the vynil finish is satin black, not Matt black ... verrry diferent. 🙂

ssmoothedgp19 Aug 2010, 21:09

SSilviaS1319 Aug 2010, 21:41

SSilviaS1319 Aug 2010, 22:11

Drillergy, yes there is a wrap vinyl in that colour, but there is not always stock available in SA. I can find out for you if you want...

ssmoothedgp20 Aug 2010, 14:17

ok how much with the doors?

SSilviaS1320 Aug 2010, 14:36

If you want the complete car done, we strip the doors, boot bonnet etc. cost goes up to arounf R20 000. car must be here for 2-3 weeks.
Major big job.

nnirvash21 Aug 2010, 12:56

DDrillergy21 Aug 2010, 16:20

I will interested once I get my kit. So hopefully at the end of the year.

SSilviaS1322 Aug 2010, 22:53

ssmoothedgp22 Aug 2010, 23:07

SSilviaS1322 Aug 2010, 23:21

My guys are buys on a couple of vehicles...

eeltonoliver25 Aug 2010, 12:34

I have a Stupid question, What happens to your car's paint once vinyl is settled onto car for few weeks? If you pull it off will the paint job be messed up? Or can you just pull off wash car and backup to normal?

SSilviaS1325 Aug 2010, 13:40

It is proper wrap vinyl... so the paint is in the same condition as the day it was put on...
