Brnad new? R1500??? Hmmmm...........

Way to many fakes out there dude, I just dont like people buying fakes thinking they real.

GGrobblere03 Jan 2012, 19:40

The quality on the packaging and the item looks to be real.....

EEmileS03 Jan 2012, 20:43

Shops have overheads, generally 100% markup is acceptable practice. I don't have overheads. If I advertised a set of JE pistons for a SR20 for R5.5k would they be fake?

pplane^driver03 Jan 2012, 20:58

All depends on where you get them from.....

EEmileS03 Jan 2012, 21:15

Fake JE's 😮 No one is safe!

GGrobblere04 Jan 2012, 08:30

@EmileS Where are you based? Got any refferances of prev clients?

I would like to order some stuff from you within the next couple of months if everything goes to plan

AAstra^EC04 Jan 2012, 08:42

Just to show you.. this is a fake one I can get! not trying to down your sale..
Besides the fact your price is good fake or not, I just beleive it to be that ppl should be aware if products are fake or not.. these chinese can make anything now days its actually scary

EEmileS04 Jan 2012, 09:39

I don't know anymore. Should I put the price up to R2450, which is what the they retail at Turbo&Nos for?

WWhite Fang04 Jan 2012, 12:53

Dude , The okes here have had fair share of kak !

If its fake sell it as fake it will sell
If it is the real deal sell it as the real deal !

if i buy fake and it doent last i wont be pissed ............ if i buy origenal and idoesnt last ill be pissed !

i am sure if you give a good warranty ! It will sell ,

EEmileS04 Jan 2012, 19:51

Based on the comments and concerns which are valid I am withdrawing the sale from the forum. There are a lot of fakes around unfortunately China is the choice of manufacturers trying to cut costs. Do yourself a favor and find five items in your house that aren't made in China, wives and children excluded from the five...

I don't want to sit in a situation where someone does buy a unit that is faulty (which is a possibility as it is a mechanical item) and then I am the doos.

I have sold many automotive items over the year and I don't feel like getting tarnished. I do however import parts form USA and I am willing to give a quote on any item that you are looking getting for your car at a excellent price. So I would like to keep my end clean, other items I have advertised are still for sale as they aren't as controversial as the above item.

I have purchased one from Emile and I will be fitting it next week or so... I will post on the quality and functionality of the product..As for Emile himself..The questions on this topic raised some uncertainty and he was willing to give me my money back..So I can truly say the he is not trying to screw anyone over...

Will keep u guys posted..

So I received the wastegate yesterday...

It is very well built and compares with an original....might be original too but I spotted some rough edges on the machined parts, and the writing on top of the wastegate is not lekke..

DESIGNED AND MANUFACTURED IN AUSTRALIA

Looks like this

DESIGNEDANDMANUFACTURED IN AUSTRA L IA

That could be a flaw or because it is fake...I dont know...

But it is solid!!!!And very well built..

So for R1500...Still a bargain...

Cool, we all hope it 'w o rk s' for you 😛

NNIZAN-R13 Jan 2012, 10:46

every turbosmart gate has its own serial number what is the number on this valve?
i am on the hunt where the fake units come from but sofar did not find any of the 40mm ones like this
the printing is a bit strange maybe a reject that went under the table

why gate is blue but box say black with black part no?
