S14 rear quater spares

jjohansx19 Jun 2007, 07:58

Just spoke to Jan Taljaard in Pretoria, his mint condition SX with a V8 caught fire yesterday 😢 😢 😢

The rear quater is still perfect. Panels, boot, spoiler and rear diff with suspension done 98 000 km. They want to dispose (crush) the remains, but is somebody wants parts they must phone him today at 082 901 8217. :!:

do you reckon that the front hubs were damaged?

vveecee19 Jun 2007, 09:18

they're the same as yours.

I only have Z32 front calipers and stock S13 rears.

Just spoke to him now, he is going to call me back. I hope they not expensive, got no more money to spend.

please ask about the front discs for me???

but i think the s14 rears are the same as the s13 rears. its the skyline ones that are two pot, and you can have mine if you want, but they wont be cheap!

I am sure they S14 has twin piston rears?!

I will ask for you, anything else you want??

What is the brake master like, is it bigger than the S13??

How much is not cheap??

sorry bud, its a floating caliper, single piston type.

i wonder how bad the burn is, like maybe i could strip it out, replace the bushes, and slap something other than a v8 in there, and use it on the track???

i'm not sure about the size of the master cylinder - sorry. are you still using the s13 one? cos they are quite cheap if you can find them on oz or nz sites.

hmmm...

not cheap would be about 1500.00. they twin pot calipers off the R32. they fit directly onto your s13 mounting points.

Are you sure they the same as the S13?? I thought they were the 2 pot ones like the Z32!?

No sorry to much for me, I have stopped spending already my last part came in the post today.

VVladeadmin19 Jun 2007, 10:20

making s14 hubs work on a s13 is apparently a mission... would not know for sure

vveecee19 Jun 2007, 10:44

its not too bad as long as you get the spindle with it.

no they are not the same as the z32.

would you like to negotiate - they're just lying there in a box!!!

No cause dont want to insult. I know how much they cost to bring in and that is too much. Why didnt you say this a month ago?? Why dont you fit them to your sx??

jjohansx19 Jun 2007, 11:51

Somebody must phone the guy, otherwise its going to the crushers... TODAY!!! He is willing to wait if somebody wants spares... 😉

GGary5719 Jun 2007, 11:52

Somebody must phone the guy

Already did call him 😉 .

vveecee19 Jun 2007, 12:19

i know you know the import cost to me. but they are rare parts, and i have more use for the money i can get for them, rather than to keep them.

no insults - i think 1500 is a fair place to start the bargaining council, as i paid way more than that for the whole set of 4 calipers.

but you must let me know!

GGary5719 Jun 2007, 12:52

I agree I do think its a fair price, but I dont have that much money right now for a mod that is only for looks.
