Among the many problems i got i noticed this the other day and didnt know what to make of it. while checking my timing as i rev the car the timing changes according to the timing light is this right?

Yes, timing will change based on throttle position, load, rpm, etc.

Well diagnose the conditions first. Is it doing it when hot or cold, full throttle or 1/2 throttle, etc etc etc

ok so far on idle its not there as i rev a bit i can hear it but doesn't get louder the higher i rev but its very soft sound will run the car this weekend and see if it remains there when the car is hot

Well that could cause more problems... bit of a gamble... if you dont already know then I suggest you take a listening rod and try see where it is coming from. If it is from inside the engine then I would rather then gut it anyway. Sorry hope its not what you think...

if i drain the oil then surly there will be metal flakes in it if the bearings are shot
