I was driving the Company bakkie, so if you see a Bantam bakkie driving like I drive my SX, then thats me

I compared autogauge once against the logged data and it were out by around 0.2bar boost at 1.5bar. So it's a major difference, but if you know it then it doesn't really matter.

i fitted an autoguage one. and it boosts 0.8bar on my DEAD STD sx... is that right?

Maybe the prev owner upped the boost?

RRiekertadmin07 Nov 2007, 22:19

is that possible with no aftermarket goodies?

I believe so. My sx had it boost set at 0.8 bar when I got it.

The wastegate actuator can be adjusted by twisting the 2 rods that it is made up of. This lengthens or shorten the actuator and causes the wastegate to open at more or less boost. (someone pls correct me if I'm mistaken)

My actuator has only got a slightly modification to allow you to easily adjust it with a spanner.

RRiekertadmin07 Nov 2007, 23:25

ah ok. but how can you know for sure that it's running .8?
