If the turbo wants to boost at 0.8Bar let it, 0.8Bar is not alot of boost anyway.

Hi Guys

I got a new Intake for my CA18DET on friday. First off I have to really thank Hennie for the all the hard work he put into the intake.

Its basically a prototype and there is alot of figment and testing to make sure that everything is OK but I have posted some pictures below.

I will give more information at a later stage with more information

WOW, what would one of those cost?? It would be cool to bolt that onto a set of ITB's.

PS: What ever happened to Hennie and his Lexified sx??

VVladeadmin28 Jan 2008, 08:18

He asked it to be removed... 😕

He asked it to be removed...

That is very unfortunate, Hennie gave good advice on this forum.

i think a lot of people thought so, but he had his own reasons.

but he's a good oke, and that s13 v8 is a beast.

Is someone deleting posts? There was no reason for those posts to be deleted, I read them. Who deleted them, and why?

vveecee01 Feb 2008, 07:09

it looks to me like hennie deleted them, unless someone else has his username and password.

wwidowmaker01 Feb 2008, 18:20

or maybe they got him

The Water line running under the intake need to be re-routed

Quick question to all the guys on the fourm there is a Pipe leading from the thermostat intake manifold (Pic 1) under the old intake to copper hard line under the intake (pic 2) .

Can this Pipe be removed and If not why?
I know it could be a water cycle but my thermostat says partially open so can it be discarded

Thankz

i'll go have a good look at it in the morning, but i think the copper pipe feeds the turbo - so dont remove that.

as for the smaller pipe - not sure now - but i will return soon with an answer.

vveecee01 Feb 2008, 23:15

oh ja - i think that manifold is hotcakes!

my order will be in soon!

you think it can be made so that it gives more low down torque than the stock manifold??? i dont want top end, cos i need lots of power from as early as possible - and i dont want to make my sx a turbodiesel!!! 😕
