lol no prob riekert. Rotas are okay for everyday driving. But track or drift is a no no...

They do make some awesome looking wheels though.

AA|fy06 Jul 2008, 04:06

Mmm... So maybe I can get them to normal day driving and nice set for drifting... or I should just get a good set of Work mags.

Yes I'll take a set like that! but with a deep dish! in black with machined lip! then I'll get you a set aswell!! ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

But ja at the moment Project Evil D is at a bit of a stand still. My turbo just failed so I'll be spending my cash on a new and better turbo for EvilD ๐Ÿ˜ˆ ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

VVladeadmin07 Jul 2008, 06:19

Those D1 wheels from ROTA is for drifting... don't mind the pics for those other rims, used fro what they were not meant to do...

jjap spec07 Jul 2008, 08:13

the driftworks team in england use rota wheels for drifting and they aint had problems.. at one stage i was going to order 2 sets... they are a copy of the nismo LM wheel...and they now have one that looks like the work.. you wont have a problem with those ones.. I thnk they about 10k or so...the work ones are about 17k or more now....

RRBSX07 Jul 2008, 14:17

ill take a set of those ROTA wheels, who is ordering them ?????

Ok my broken turbo did set me back a bit. so this is for VC and Ero, a few pics of me taking out the busted turbo...

So T28 and a few surprises to come!

Here you go:

DDoctor G07 Jul 2008, 22:52

LOL I like the pics riekert. What exactly is wrong with the turbo?

RRiekertadmin07 Jul 2008, 23:12

hehe Thanx! well basically the shaft itself has a crap load of play and the intake and exhaust fans are bent. I think the turbo didn't get oil for some reason. I still want to take it to someone to check whats up. also when you try and turn the shaft its like it almost seized. so the turbo is officially stuffed. Maybe I can get it reconned. will see. just need another(bigger) turbo now.

Just a quick question... what does a normal recon of a turbo cost? and can it be done yourself?

vveecee08 Jul 2008, 05:43

well a turbo recon kit is about 600 bucks.

thats just basivcally a seal kit.

theres usually a big charge for labour.

and that turbo will need a new shaft and new wheels on both ends!!! maybe even new housings.

with my t25 i got a new exhaust housing, a new shaft, new wheels, new bearing and seals, and with labour came to about 4200-00. back then i was new to the sx game and naive so i just paid! how stupid was that!

vveecee08 Jul 2008, 05:44

oh ja - it could be done yourself if you had all sorts of specialised tools, but i recommend sending it to a pro - because its likely you dont have the tools!
