List of stuff still to do:

  • Sil80 conversion
  • Z32 calliper fitment
  • Bigger exhuast
  • Lowering Springs
  • Better induction route...
  • AEM Wideband fitment
  • Bikirom Install
  • Mini CarPC build (hopefully I can afford those 2 7" screens from aep86)
  • Hooking it all up to work from the in car PC
  • New Front speaker install
  • A few carbon bits form Drillergy

uhm... yeah... thats it for now...

RReeceZ23 Aug 2009, 20:11

theres an 18 inch touch screen with a built in pc, that goes for 5500. maybe abit too much, but its always better on the big screen

RRiekertadmin23 Aug 2009, 20:21

haha. yeah thats a bit too big... can build myself 'n mini PC for about R2k and then the two screens for about R1200... so say a total of R4k with keyboard ect.

Should be fun for long roadtrips and a quick tune on the road. hehe

Ok so went for engine clearance today... What a breeze....

Basically went to the traffic dept. asked a few Q's got the forms and then went to the police station. Got there gave the forms to the Insp. on duty. Went out to the car, checked the engine number, wrote some stuff down and went back into the police station.

Waited there for them to check everything on their servers and done.

Got the papers back from them, went to the Traffic office again and renewed the licence with the new engine number.

Total Cost R300 for the licence.

Awesomeness! Car is legal again!! whoop whoop!

Thanx man.

No not yet...

Its seems that the battery doesn't keep charge. as if something drains it when its standing still/switched off.

The altenator works fine cause I start the car and then remove the battery terminals and the car still runs. So not sure what it can be...

DDracomoderator26 Aug 2009, 14:25

Wow....that sounds almost familiar....my Z does the same....the battery charges but when the car stands for 3-4 days then there is not enough juice to start the car....it turnes but comes short.....new battery....and alternator charges....

RRiekertadmin26 Aug 2009, 17:16

mmm... well I have a new battery... I've read somewhere that it might be the two wires coming out of the altenator that could cause a issue like this. will try and test the theory over the weekend.

Was having the same problem, thought it was the alternator so sent it in,

turned out to be the alternator fuse and they still charged me R1400 😈

So try check that basic often overlooked problem

ROFLOL - you guys are funny!

alternator fuse is a big 100 something amp fuse (hmm could be 75 amp), that is found in the fusebox near the battery on the drivers side of the car.

it also does not look like a standard spade fuse - its much bigger and squarish, with a clear "lid".

it costs about R150-00 at nissan for a new one!

AND - i advertised a recon alternator the other day for 500 bucks and no-one wanted it. now people are having power problems! LOL.

RRiekertadmin27 Aug 2009, 13:23

Shot VC...

I don't thinks its the altenator fuse though... otherwise the car would've died if you take of the battery... correct?
