I don't thinks its the altenator fuse though... otherwise the car would've died if you take of the battery... correct?

Yeah, getting the bonnet, fenders, bumper, lights(+fittings), grill...

Hey Riekert, been looking at doing the sileighty conversion myself and i see you've said you're getting "lights + fittings", does that include the headlight brackets? It's something i overlooked but i'm sure you knew that already. 😳

RRiekertadmin02 Sept 2009, 15:30

Hey man. yeah.

The fittings is the brackets to fit the headlights to the frame.

I actually didn't know about it either.... then did a bit of searching and saw you needed new brackets.

Shweet dude. Are you sourcing the individual parts off e-bay or did you organize the complete kit from an overseas tuner company?

I got the parts locally. Its form a Silvia on the forum. So at least I got it for a very good price. but it needs a bit of work...

I did source a full frontend... but it would've cost me around R15k to get it here. and then another R5-R10k for shipping and customs

Did a bit of a drop 0_0

Was a 5 hour jobbie just for the front ones. but think it looks awesome now though.

Yeah!!! but my rear shocks is stuffed... so need to get them redone.

TTrance10126 Sept 2009, 15:52

Nice! Looks much better

RRiekertadmin04 Oct 2009, 08:33

Ok... so my starter was also fried...

Removed it, gave it to Shane, who sent it in to Pleamstead Auto Elec.

They fixed it up nicely. R580 later and the car is running again.

Had a bit of a rattle in the motor too. seems it was a loose bolt. so thats sorted.

Oh, also got my new backbox welded on. Think I got it from Reece. hehe sorry was too long ago.

Well thats about it... will try and take some pics with the car washed and nicely lowered.

So anyone got a good set of rear shocks for me??

RReeceZ04 Oct 2009, 08:53
