When I put my T28 I just grinded a mm away.....

HHancoB04 Aug 2008, 08:42

Or you can do that...

RRiekertadmin04 Aug 2008, 08:58

mmm.... grind the manifold?? that might work... the mani is quite thick isn't it. I think I should do that... cause otherwise the piping is gonna be a bit weird. thanx I think I'll do a bit of surgery on the manifold... 😈 😈 😈

HHancoB04 Aug 2008, 09:06

The piping will be weird anyway.

You will see! 😂 😂

true, but if i "clock" the turbo the piping will be showing down and not to the side... but ja... will check what I can do! 😈 😈

HHancoB04 Aug 2008, 10:29

No not really, remember how mine was?

Yours will be exactly the same.

HHancoB04 Aug 2008, 10:33

Oh ja, and don't forget to put a gasket in between the manifold and turbo, or use some gun gum atleast if you cant find a mani.

That will also give you a bit more clearance and the studs will fit.

And all the custom piping does fit just with a bit of a stretch.

RRiekertadmin04 Aug 2008, 11:22

Ah... ok.

Oh and the gasket I still got. so it should suffice.

thanx

HHancoB04 Aug 2008, 12:00

Coolio! 😉

RRiekertadmin04 Aug 2008, 14:31

Now I just need to mod the actuator...

The one I have in the new turbo is bent to fit... the one off the t25 is straight... hammer anyone! 😈 😈

HHancoB04 Aug 2008, 17:23

Riekert, just put the turbo in with its standard actuator. I got mine in and its boosting .6bar right through the rev range. Dont change the actuator until you have a problem with it.

vveecee04 Aug 2008, 19:02

if you grind that manifold then you will officially be a tjop!!! i will come find you and moer you with the grinder.

listen to hando...

its only a couple of degrees, so do it. you dont have to clock it 90 degrees or anything. and its easy - loosen a few bolts and turn it, then tighten the bolts - easy!!!

plus you need to do custom piping for the cooler anyway!!!

DO IT!

wwidowmaker04 Aug 2008, 19:05

they got you!

i jump with joy

HHancoB04 Aug 2008, 19:10

Listen to VC!!! You Tjop!!!

And no you dont really have to do custom piping, I put my standard piping back on and it worked. But it doesn't look neat.

wwidowmaker04 Aug 2008, 19:13

next time read the small print!

RRiekertadmin04 Aug 2008, 20:20

OK OK!! I wont grind the manifold...

I'll clock the turbo...

Plus like VC said I 'm gonna run new piping.

Ok will do it over the weekend.

HHancoB04 Aug 2008, 20:53

And riekert you take longer than eskom to fit those lights...

When can you shed some light on this subject?
