RB26DETT into S14

Yes, 750cc injectors. To be honest it feels better than the RB26 with same turbo. Better throttle responce, but the dyno graph shows the better low to mid range torque. VVT does help(also smaller exh housing). Think it will easy make 300kw under 1 bar boost. Will increase boost and fit w/meth when i get back from P.E. to see what happens.

First road test of the S14. After a hectic couple of days to get the car lisenced with new engine, we traveled from Ctn to P.E. (1500km round trip). Was realy impressed with the car on the long trip. Averaged 8.6 km/litre on petrol @ 120-160km/h(max 230km/h), wich i thought was realy good, not a drop of oil used. Feul consumtion can be better with a bit more tuning. Also a pleasure to overtake with good responce from the T66 turbo.

Decided that i need a bit more saftey and handling before more power. Built a bolt in 4 point roll cage. Will be black powdercoated when finnished, the nice part is that it bolts in and can be removed again.

That was one days work, material cost R350, another few hours to finish tig welding and brackets, then powdercoat.

holy crap! so a rollcage for under R500. NICE!

RRB25SX19 Oct 2009, 16:42

R550 incl powdercoating, and 1 1/2 days work. It pays to do things your self. Its a lot of work and welding (tig).

RRiekertadmin19 Oct 2009, 19:29

Wow! I seriously need to learn how to weld 😀 again awesome job man!! now build one for the S13.... 😛 hehehe

Very nice new goodies arrived today 😀 . Fully adjustable coilover suspension from BC Racing. The quality on these realy look very good. Fitted with no problems. Will start setting the ride hight and damping tomorrow.
