Hey Rb

sorry about the Rb26 damage,,,,I had a close call on saturday, as one of the clamps on the water hose gave up, was over tighten, luckily i always check under the car for any leaks, and when i saw the water dripping, i found the problem

im making sure all my hoses have high quality clamps

sorry to hear that buddy

well all things happen for a reason!i think you better off now, those parts are perfect but you should do rods same time.you doing my next step now..lucky dude.what turbo are you going to use?im looking at a gt4088 twin scroll.also can you make a plan on those gell decals please?i need 2 asb mr wynand

Will use T66 or T61, still deciding (GT35R would be the perfect turbo). Std RB26 rods with ARP bolts are good for up to 600hp, so decided not to spend the extra money on rods. My goal is just a reliable / drivable 350kw.

ssmoothedgp09 Sept 2009, 17:07

you have a point with rod thing,im also aiming round 350rwkw good luck tho its well worth it.let me know about those stickers.thanks again!

It's alive !! Fitted a std RB25DET with all the parts that was on RB26 (T66, 750cc inj) ang Greddy style intake. Engine runs well and sounds good. will take it for mapping next week. Untill i build a new RB26, the RB25 will have to last, so will keep boost low on safe tune. Just didint want the car to stand and gather dust.
By the way, the RB25 cost less than the labour to build a new engine 😉

RB25 with T66 mapped at 0.7 bar. Made 268kw, 375nm on a very conservative map. Power still climbs at 7200rpm.

RRiekertadmin05 Oct 2009, 18:29

Sweet! very nice!

lljS1405 Oct 2009, 20:15

did you get the car back today ?

Are you happy with the results ? Seems respectable and safe 😉 ,Dont want to be blowing any more RB's :x

FFUEL PERFORMANCE05 Oct 2009, 21:10

Very Nice !! 😀

How does the car feel on the Road?

rratadmin06 Oct 2009, 07:32

is that with the std RB25 injectors?

Nope... Running 750cc injectors

Just a comparrison between RB25 /T66 and RB26 /T66. Boost was more on RB26 (0.85bar), but with damage to exhaust wheel and T4 A/R .68 exh housing. RB25 T66 has T3 A/R .63 exh housing and VVT activated. Same 750cc injectors, RB25 has Greddy style intake, RB26 had std intake. Much better torque curve on RB25 with VVT.
