The AR bit big for sr20-will work nicely on a 6cyl though

πŸ˜‚ So u tell me a Sr20det got a low volumetric effecientcy (dont know much about the sr20det but I'am a Jap man and I can confidently say u speaking thru ur ass), I orginally bought this turbo for my S2000, Which 2 me is perfect for a 2.0L 16v looking 2 make power in the early 300kw. My setup has changed slightly and I'am looking at getting the GT35R.

Ok so you aren't thinking then coz a s2000 motor revs up to 8500 stock. tuned 9000rpm.

A SR20DET revs to 7500rpm - 7800rpm.

The turbo might work on a s2000 then coz at 5000rpm it will be boosting full and have that full boost for another 3500 - 4000 rpm.

on a SR20DET it will boost also start boosting at 5000rpm and hit the limiter at about 7500 rpm, that means you are gonna have lag for 4500 - 5000rpm and boost for 2500 - 3000rpm...

Then I have to say yes N1smo200sx is correct!

As long as you dont know your own sister to well. πŸ˜€

bboyracerwp22 Oct 2008, 09:30

A SR20DET revs to 7500rpm - 7800rpm.

thats what u think πŸ˜€

I think all you nissan boys should actually try use a GT30 before claiming to know where it spools up πŸ™„ You are seriously seriously uninformed…

I still dont understand how you can all chime in when probably not one of you have been in a GT30 powered car let alone one on an SR20.

DDracomoderator22 Oct 2008, 09:51

So please RAW let us know the facts.....can I use it on my 2L honda?

HHancoB22 Oct 2008, 09:56

Then tell please coz on paper it doesn't look realistic!

RRAW22 Oct 2008, 12:01

I am not here to do other peoples home work or guestimates...

What I can tell you is that if your only start boosting a GT30 at 5000rpm as earlier stated you have somthing SERIOUSLY wrong with your engine or managment / tuning ability,,,

Its not very difficult to have a 4000rpm band of 1.5bar boost on a SR20 GT30 combo.

Great....then you don't know the answer to the question I asked....just say so....no need to get all twisted...easy answer...yes or no, but thanks anyway

HHancoB22 Oct 2008, 12:14

Ok then how feasible is it to run a gt30 on a SR20DET?

lljS1422 Oct 2008, 12:30

RAW is basically saying that you can,When i was researching into what i can do to a SR20 i came across a few guys who had done the GT30 on the SR20 ,The most popular was the GT28 but the GT30 is been used for worked SR20 motors making big power,Dont ask me stats im just saying that the GT30 is been used alot on the SR20 overseas(google) πŸ˜‰

HHancoB22 Oct 2008, 12:47

Yeah I know, But is it feasible?

I can use a t66 on my CA18DET but damn hell I'll have lag for ages.

I didnt reply to your question did I? Can you use it on a honda 2.0L? Sure, Ive had a GT35 at over 1.5bar on a B18 by 4500rpm, can you build your honda and tune it to preform the way it should with a GT30? I doubt it... If you could you wouldnt be asking me the question...

Its a GT30 FFS people, you talking like its a T88
