Ok... so realistically when will the turbo start spooling on a CA/SR? and what other mods will you need? It would be interesting to know.

Great....then you don't know the answer to the question I asked....just say so....no need to get all twisted...easy answer...yes or no, but thanks anyway
I didnt reply to your question did I? Can you use it on a honda 2.0L? Sure, Ive had a GT35 at over 1.5bar on a B18 by 4500rpm, can you build your honda and tune it to preform the way it should with a GT30? I doubt it... If you could you wouldnt be asking me the question...

My humble apologies....sometimes it's hard to figure out who you replying to....it's like you are a member of the x files or something....
As for me building my honda...well bang on sparky, I can't, hope that gives you some satisfaction 😉
As for answering my question if the turbo could be used, thanks, that's all I wanted to know 😉

I wouldnt use it on a CA due to the lack of decent rods and the weak cranks, gearboxes, clutch's ectr ectr ectr.
Stock SR will spool it at 3500 and will be at 1bar just over 4000rpm in higher gears. depending on anything added to help it like cam's ectr will bring it in a bit earlier.
This is with good mapping obviously,
So on a CA its a NO NO
SR its a yes with a lot of mods.
so it just became harder to sell you turbo mate.
Sorry! 😉
...
My turbo is larger than a GT30, spools up fast, when I say fast, I mean over 1.6 bar at 4200 to 4500 rpm.
That gives me, a comfortable 4000 rpm band to play with at that boost.
O ja, and it revs to 8500 if I want...... VTEC, naaaah, just a WELL built and tuned SR : )
I was very very worried that it would have too much lag... but realized thats a relative term.... Lag to in my meaning would differ from anybody else... I checked some other cars RAW built and took mine to him.
I prefer that slight bit of lag, as the car is actually more drivable if you just using it as a daily, like I am. More drivable then the GT28 I had, it actually spools for any simple reason, just cruising and it spools, constantly trying to boost boost boost, gets very annoying after a while.
apart from that, staying out of boost is great for my fuel consumption, almost got a solid 11 KM per L.
so it comes down to excellent drivability, and hey if you need go, it can do a 12.2 at nearly wet conditions at mild boost like we did when I fetched the car after Rezlo tuned it...... and wait for that 11 : )

Why does it need to be a heavy modded SR?
You can use it on a CA18, its just you wont use it to its potential due to the kak motor

some people will have a prob with that! hehe 😀
ouch...there is a lot of people who would take offense to that.
OK... back on topic...
WHO WANTS THE GT30 TURBO!!!!
GOOD FOR SR OR RB.
plus it looks real pretty 😂 😂 😂

Hehe tell it the way it is hey, no bullshit between friends. I love your straight forward and bluntness, always a honest answer. Wish you posted more...

coming from a CA-fanboy! hehe nice dude!
Haha yeah.
But yeah Riekert is elcorrecto!
Who wants a big ass turbo for his semi modded SR????
Just my 2c....Hondas have more exhaust gas to spin bigger turbo's-so that why the .86 Ar would be perfect for S2000.but Nissans dont have so much exhaust gas so you need a smaller Ar to get the turbo spool up.Most guys run like a 63 on Sr20 get to spool up quickly. On a rb25 this turbo will be boosting at 3000rpm already! But it's all up to what you want to do with your car anyways.

To each his Own 🙄 🙄
RAW , since you seem to have experience of this turbo, how would it work on RB26 ? I was thinking of fitting GT35R. But it sounds like the GT3076 with .82ar might work just fine.

I ran my 11.6 on a GT3076 .82ar, it packs some good punch.

If it had a good crank and decent aftermarket cams it wouldnt be so bad, but with a crank that likes to snap in half and no decent cam options, R10 000 for rods,,, its just pointless, youll spend 3 times more to make a CA18 make 300kw reliably than you would a SR20, and then still you wont have the torque or mid range... and considering this post is about a GT30 turbo it puts the CA18 way out on the right field,,, unless you like to throw tones of money at a motor to make mediocure results?

I agree with RAW on this. Thats why opted for the SR20 at the end of the day! KW means nothing to me, torque is the thing that gives me a smile from ear to ear when I floor it! And sorry to say, the CA18 aint gonna give you that! No matter how much money got!
what a GT30 can do...... with some revs to spare
1st gear to 4th gear.

Holy shit! But thats probably not a stock motor!
