Hope you come right with the mapping 🙄

It seems that i will have to map the ecu myself, since nobody can help me now. Probably not the best place to learn, on a new expensive engine. 😕

HEy rb25sx mad build there, i am soo envious there, you do us kaapenaars proud.Have you tried Feroli's to get the car setup ?!?

eish... how so?

can't G&C do it? is it because no-one has tuned one before?

Theo has left G&C 😕 The only one RB25SX trusts to work on the Tbo 🙁

Almost ready to fit into car, just waiting for some gaskets. Will upgrade to bigger throttle body later if nessesary.

Nice work!! 😮

Is that a Stock RB 26 fuel rail, if yes, did it need any modifications to fit the Greddy intake?

RRB25SX04 Dec 2009, 19:05

Yes, stock RB26 feul rail, fits straight on. Just needs spacers with longer bolts.

Did some mapping over the weekend, and the engine goes well. Running in at 0.4 bar up to 6000rpm.
Have to thank Tinus (HotSX) for helping saturday morning. Seems there is a SX fan everywere. Had a burst water pipe next to N1, next thing here is Tinus with his S13 and tools. Thanx ! 😉 😀

Had the RB30 on the dyno. 280kw, 450nm @ 0.8 bar. Will take to 1.2 bar with some road mapping. See the big differance between RB30DET and RB25DET at almost the same boost. Same T66 turbo, but with .63 T3 housing on RB25 and .68 T4 housing on RB30. Same safe timing map.
Dont think VVT on RB30 was on, will make more power with better mapping.

Awesemoh!

i think in the region of 280rwkw on 0.8-0.9 would be allright.1.2 maybe 330?
Just thinking what a stock 26 pushes. But the torque will be way higher!

jeez I shouldve played the lotto!!!!im gonna guess like 570-600nm on 1.2bar!!Graph looks smooth!!

RRBSX18 Dec 2009, 00:09

that looks good 🙂

RRB25SX18 Dec 2009, 08:22

Have it road tuned now to 1.15 bar, and its realy strong 😈 . Guess well over 300kw, but with nice smooth power delivery. Me and Rudeboy spent a morning on the road with 2 x knock links and 2 x AFR gauges. Once u go over 1 bar that T66 realy starts to work.

nn1smo200sx19 Dec 2009, 07:08

Love to see some numbers on the dyno.also to compare it with a 2jz on the same boost!

RRBSX19 Dec 2009, 14:57

is that on pump gas

Yes + w/meth.
Did 230kmh today at 800m drags. Fastest for the day was 233kmh when we left, not sure if it was the fastest run of the day. Car performed better than what i expected with a top 3 result at 1.2 bar boost.

Wont dyno anytime soon, no need to. Cyl head mods did lose some torque low down, but it makes up at the top end. VVT also helps below 4000rpm. Dont know if its beter than 2JZ, but its fine for what i wanted.

Bonnet catch broke, destroying the bonnet, windscreen and roof 🙁 . Was time for a carbon bonnet in any case. Will see what the insurance say.
