One of the guys at The Rock drifts very well in a STOCK BMW318i...
And that in less than 100kw on the wheels...

yes he is very good ive seen him as well but his car is a bit under powered! im sure if he gets his car a bit faster he should be able to do much better!

AAdrian12 Nov 2010, 22:01

its cool im still learning um basicaly its a shock but you can set the height of your ride the damper(stifness) and camber for tuning corners( depending on what coilover you have

kking_zambo13 Nov 2010, 08:20

how much will they set me back? so do you think i should improve handling before performance?

kking_zambo13 Nov 2010, 08:31

i am thinking of putting a SR20T engine in, does the engine fit straight in? same gear box and mountings?? red top or black top?

kking_zambo13 Nov 2010, 08:54

yo guys thanks for everything! i would just like to inform you guys on my progress!

ive gone for a ca18det coz the other conversions would have made me sell my house!

i flowed the head added a T3 turbo 550cc injectors!
the car will be going for boast pipes + bov in the next two weeks!
spittronics will be doing all the thinking!

1 more question...

wastegate... what and why and all that jazz or can i just carry on without 1 for now?

VVegetaSSJ425 Nov 2010, 18:58

If you want that motor of yours to last I would highly recomend you get a wastegate.

The purpose of a wastegate is to control the boost level.
Without it it will just keep boosting until you break it

To give you something to think about.
How would your stock internals handle 3bar boost?

VVegetaSSJ426 Nov 2010, 20:24

a 38mm wastegate is more than adequate
And it gives you headroom when you start boosting more
