SR's are nice, but once u drive a RB, the 4 cyl just doesnt do it anymore.

I have driven them all, but not a 500hp SR (NOBODY SEEMS TO WANT OTHER PEOPLE DRIVING THEM 😕 ) But take nothing away from SR's, make good power, a lot lighter, and in a SX probably better as a track or race car engine. But Driftz, if u are in CTN again, take my S14 for a drive, and just maybe u like it 😉 😂

Wow - That is a freakin bargain! 😮

hey, clutch takes a little getting use to (still get a rough take of every now n then 😳 ) pedal quite firm, but not too bad, just in traffic it gets a little tiresome, but otherwise quite smooth no shudder, feels good all in all.

mabe need to "gym" my left leg abit 😉

whats happening with you and the sx scene at the moment if you dont mind me asking?

DDanielmoderator04 Jul 2010, 21:01

Ooh awesome! thanx dude

*Starts saving

RRB25SX05 Jul 2010, 08:33

If u can sell the old engine, box and other bits, it still works out less.

lljS1405 Jul 2010, 10:00

So we basically know now that it will cost between R45-R50K to do a 'Stock' RB swop ,I say 'stock' as Nirvash has upgraded a few things like clutch, intake ebc etc ,You then can still sell your Existing motor and gearbox to make up some money 😉

From here you can upgrade turbo,w/g,injectors,FPR,exh mani, water meth ,clutch(6 puk), to get to 350kw reliably 8) ,Depends on what you buy thats another R30K easily

So its roughly R80K easily for 350kw RB25 SX .

I think its a good idea to make a sticky thread out of this so it is known what is needed and the costs involved in a RB swop so this question is not covered over and over again.

Moderators 😉

dont for get suspension R8500
and brakes min 3k for full round setup

i think these are a must for a rb swop as you now heavier and going alot faster
