And I'd bet plumbing the wastegate back into the exhaust won't effect tuning at all. just do it properly, plumb it back in a lot further down and definately not at a 90deg angle like that dp pic you have posted draco.

Keep up the good work dude

Shot cuz, my thing is to build a really mean fun to drive street drifter so the screemer was a no brainer for me, just ads to the whole feel of a real jap style drift cow

AAdrian05 Jul 2011, 23:50

Ah shit dude didn't know my bad

PPOWDER06 Jul 2011, 00:10

PPOWDER18 Jul 2011, 17:41

Anyway, time for an update I suppose.....

Seems the lovely chrome intake does not fit my SR, so went and swopped it out for one that does, this one looks ever HOTTER IMO.....

CCaptian18 Jul 2011, 18:31

WWhite Fang18 Jul 2011, 19:28

PPOWDER18 Jul 2011, 20:29

Anyway, still recovering from Malaria gents so no, there has been nothing done yet or any coilovers installed yet...... As soon as I have the energy again, trust me, they will be the first mod in...... 😁

SSilviaS1318 Jul 2011, 21:45

PPOWDER18 Jul 2011, 22:16

Hey Ernest,

Ye always havin fun cuz, just can't wait to get this machine of mine fully StreetDrift ready and come cut some curbs wit u on the track hey....... Got near everything to finnish off with, just stuck finding a zorst mani at the moment and time has not been playing along for me to make one either.....

On another bumped note...... Purely to keep myself psyked......
OK, so just a refresher of installs to come:
- Greddy Copy Intake Plenum - Needs a little refining but is pritty
- 76MM SS downpipe +76mm SS Zorst + F1X SS Fat Box 76mm
- 6 Port Boost Rail to neeten things up
- 38mm External Wastegate
- SS Top Mount zorst mani with single wastegate port - Still waiting to get from Jap Auto
- BC Coilover
- Carbon wrap Bonnet roof and boot
- 7" Touch screen carputer to manage fueling profiles from and to datalog with
- Recover interior
- Install sound
- O and can't forget, custom tapetcover spray job

Eish still a way to go

SSilviaS1318 Jul 2011, 23:30

Sounds great!
Still a bit to do, but well worth it.
I change my exhaust... A little louder.
Straight 76mm pipe out below passenger door. Very loud.
When you coming to
the track again?

SSilviaS1318 Jul 2011, 23:31

Oh ja, let me know about carbon roof and bonnet. Will give you a good price!

PPOWDER19 Jul 2011, 08:31

Will probably be there tomorrow..... Just got to see how I feel... And shot fr da offer will come check u out but have to try myself first, lol even if I kak it up

U gonna be practicing tomorrow?

PPOWDER30 Jul 2011, 13:58

So Ernest, for a first try I dont think I did to bad, just having issues with the big stretches n stuff, also like by the window vents, it keeps pulling loose there, dont know what I'm doing wrong, but I will get it right....

What you think so far... ?

Bonnet

Beware, some dangerouse HotStuff floating arround....

Ye, a picture of me concentrating.... Hard to believe....

And another close up of the Nissan logo, just coz I couldnt resist...

PPOWDER30 Jul 2011, 14:11

I suddenly got Brave and decided to do the Roof on my own.....

Taking off the Sunroof and Water Sprayer was fun....

The initial wrapping took a bit of time as I was man alone here....

Wrapping the inner section on the sunroof was pritty simple, thank goodness this stuff stretches under heat....

Thank goodness there is a tone of fold over / tuck away and hide space on the roof.....

Front window not so simple though, the guys who replaced the front window last did a really crap job leaving me half tuck in space and half no space to tuck in.... Eish....

Eventually I got tired and decided to leave the rest of the tucking and debubbleing for the next morning....

Of course the next morning was fun, I tucked and trimmed till I was almost sick..... O and the bubbles?

Bubble Before.....

Bubble after.... 🙂 No sweat no fuss....

And finnnnnally she is about done.... Lookin very neat infact, not bad for what I had to work and deal with I think, I few minor touchups required, but all in all I am happy with my work.....

Decided to give it some definition though and leave a white stripe on the water way's just to give it that little bit of "Kaching"

Funny thing is, now I am thinking about doing a clearcoat once I have stopped being lazy to finnish her off.....
Clear coat on left, normal on right... 😀

PPOWDER30 Jul 2011, 14:18

Carbon wrapping things on page 17, just incase u missed it......

As I might have mentioned, the original Intake I went to gu buy was actually ment for the VVT motors, so I went to swop it out.....

This one not Chrome, but still looks friggin awsome and now has the Injector ports on the Mani it's self along with shorter intake pipes... YAY

Ye I still need to put it on....

PPOWDER30 Jul 2011, 14:38

OK, so I seriously very badly wanted to join in the Trackday on the 14th July.... So I called up my old faithfull friend Nate once again to come help with some wrench time.... BG had helped me about a week or two before though to get the friggin thing off... Which is not the easiest mission with the ABS in the way....

Although this night Nate helped me out till like 12PM, dont know how he survives me and my missions some times....

Takin the thing off with the help of Nate, BG and Adz... Thanks again Guys...

So ye, this is where I finnally decided to get into it, Thanks for comin through once again Nate...

As you can see, the problem with my boost leak was pretty obvious..... lol

Luckily all flanges were in tip top condition, smoothe as a babies bum.....

Once we got the Gasket out, we couldnt help but laugh in amaizment....

And then a bolt broke off in the turbo housing that royally pi$$3d me off, but no stress, I just drilled and tapped and put bigger bolts, now she "twite like a twiger" in the famouse words of somone I know.....

Needless to say, we actually finnished it.... But when trying to start her up, Nadda... Swung but no run.. Luckilly the cold over night helped the battery along and she started first time in the morning, YAY..... And off I went to the Track day........ 😁

PPOWDER30 Jul 2011, 14:47

Ye I know u guys have see the pics, but they just have to go into my project for the fun of it... Thanks to Daniel for some great pics....

First I had to top up some gas and wait for a Nate to come, apparently having a dirty SX is not in his Vocab and of course I kept him busy with the turbo install all night....

Then of course, some nice lil trac pics... Was so much fun u cant believe, I really learnt some things about my car on the trac, Cant wait to get my BC Coilovers in now.....

I am proud to say, the beemer couldnt catch me, the R32 on the other hand, well lets just not mention it for now.... lol :200sx_2guns:

DDanielmoderator30 Jul 2011, 18:41
