๐Ÿ˜‚ @ Ernest - you never hard to spot dude! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Any lower and it will rub and yes I have on original wing too but the surgery needed(closing the old holes etc etc) was too much to do before Japfest... Wish I could find a front bumper.

Update on stuff I never got round to...

1. new front brakes going on soon (once happy with the setup I will sell the brembo disks and S14 calipers before everyone asks ๐Ÿ˜‚)
2. Some subframe bushes soon along with the power brace and front and rear strut braces.
3. New diff on the cards but the clutch types I think are just too expensive... might go HLSD (helical)
4. New additions to the boost arcillary soon... watch this space...
5. Possible VE conversion... depending if I can find all the parts... watch this space.

Got some results from the dyno day.
153.3Kw and 269Nm @ +/-0.65bar.

Was hoping for about 160Kw and 280Nm but was not far off.
Happy with it especially considering the low boost. That said I think I am going to build a new motor. Will get a import motor and start building on that.

New motor wish list:

New forged pistons
New head - ported and polished and rebuilt all new
New tomei valve springs
Tomei 260 cams
New bearings
Greddy oil cooler
Forged Rods
Cometic gasket
ARP bolts and studs everywhere
Well that is it for now and if not a det head then will do VE-T

anyway here's the dyno sheet:

What turbo you running again? As it seems full boost only at 5000rpm

Definately need a ball bearing but was not on the cards at the time.

Did some work on the intercooler pipes by redoing them completely and in all ally. Nice smooth bends and also changed the pipe run to also be as short as possible. here be the pics

Hot side:

Cold side:

Front:

Also added some nice bits and put a Greddy on my Freddy:

New HKS limited edition oil and radiator caps 8)

Along with this there is also some poly bushes and new adjustable rear camber arms going on - busy currently with the bushes.

I have found that you can shorten piping by as much as a meter. If everything is set up properly you almost wont notice a difference.
Now get a good flowing inter cooler core and the difference is markedly better..

Well have not had it out to test it. Initial tests with the testing setup was good. With the reduction in interior volume of the pipes and about 360deg less bends spool was much improved and the boost drop issues have also seemingly improved. Lag between gears is also better but definately changing the turbo for a ball bearing one once I can. Also finished fitting the bushes I had gotten a while ago. All that remain now is the new bucket seats and rear upper suspension arms. Always lots to do ๐Ÿ˜‚

Re-assembled the front-end today - Had to put back the crappy broken front bumper again and the broken right headlight too... now held on with 1 bolt no money to replace the bumper or the headlight.

Will have to get to it soon  not driving it is affecting my moods...

Fitted my clear bumper indicators... just not in time for our run the past weekend. must say it does make the car look so much better.

Out with some friends (Waiting on Tobie who made the drive from Rustenburg in his silver car):

Some news... sorted the ticking lifters with some pricey original nissan ones and rebuilt the rear calipers now all good.

Full service also done. Looking at something else now though... not sure what yet...

Do you live in the complex close to goldreef?

pphoenix s1423 Apr 2012, 19:47

Goldreef as in Goldreef city? nope. East Rand Boksburg.

pphoenix s1425 Apr 2012, 11:57

I have put this up for sale but honestly in no hurry to sell. In the meantime I am going to continue. hopefully I can find a front bumper and a driver side headlight soon. If anyone has spare please let me know. 2nd hand OEM is perfect also.

pphoenix s1427 Apr 2012, 18:30

So now that it is not for sale I started fitting all the parts I have lying around...

So first part I fitting is the new fuel pump Obsession Performance so graciously sent me for free...

!st of all the quality of the unit looks great. I really dont like the filter supplied with these and the walbro kits (this has the same filter as walbro). So I fiddled a bit and fitted the OEM sock after I made sure it was still good. Also I don't like splicing wires so I fitted some lugs to the OEM wires. Looks super oem and no worries about the wiring. Also looks so much better than some joined wires.

Enjoy the pics...

Update.

Nothing really, Project just needed an update ๐Ÿ˜‚

Seriously, ummm fitted an HKS Circle grounding kit because it looks nice. ๐Ÿ˜‚
Also got a new breather tank to fit, new exhaust flexi to fit since mine has broken.

Will post pics once done with it all.
Good news is the pump is still working very well and AFR has stabilized because of it also.
Also busy building a new intake system to get rid of the stock box.

FFUEL PERFORMANCE29 Aug 2012, 19:05

Nice!

Glad you Happy with the Fuel Pump!

I will have more soon 255LPH & 340LPH if anyone needs! ๐Ÿ™‚
