Alistair, No problems with you bud !! Really, no hassles with you. and no, you will not buy the car back unless it for a serious premium ! šŸ˜‰

I am quite prepared to do work here and sort these things out. Im not bitching here, there is just a bit more to be done than I thought.

Chommies ?? šŸ™‚

I need to have the car my way. Right now if I took her to a track day she will probably kill me.
Dont hassle about the diff and box, Ill sort that all out.
I really think you have been screwed over with the car in the past. In fact, I know you have. R4K for the diff ? It leaks like crazy and the lsd is shot.
Driving into my driveway I have to go in straight. If I go in scew the one back wheel lifts and the car stops and the free wheel simply spins in the air.

What I have realized is that the car is an old car that needs a lot of tlc. I reckon another what I paid for it should sort it completely.

Alistair, once again, I believe you had no idea of all this and I do not hold you responsible at all. Were cool bud. And I want you to still visit when you come up..

Ill keep the Ford v6 mountings to show you..

No problem dude šŸ˜‚
Ive had the car for just more than 3yrs and prob done about 5000kms i loved that car
šŸ˜‰

Help me out here please guys..My car`s wiper system does not work in the intermittent mode any more.
Neither do the wiper blades stop at the base of the windscreen when you switch them of. I have to time it manually by hand to get them to stop at the bottom. I presume there would be some kind of plug in unit or box that controls this all
Where will it be situated and has anyone got one for me ?
This is one feature I really would like to get working properly again..

RRiekertadmin23 Feb 2011, 21:20

should be in the front next to the ABS pump. I think thats the controller box for the wipers. if it is I have a S14 one for you.

mmario_200sx23 Feb 2011, 22:35

Diff done by FSR? Mister Faheem? No wonder its leeking! šŸ˜‚

BBigKriss24 Feb 2011, 06:51

Riekert, will purchase it from you Sir.PM to follow.

Can someone tell me what these are for?
Oh, the others have all melted from the manifold heat. Tjooners .. šŸ™„

and just sommer..

CCharlvdw24 Feb 2011, 06:57

I don't now S14 but if i look at the location of those plug they should be for the ABS.

RRiekertadmin24 Feb 2011, 07:03

jip šŸ™‚ abs it is, second pic is for the sr coilpack harness.

oh and cool leme check if it is that.

EEnzio24 Feb 2011, 07:50

The intermittent mode problem could be similar to the other common one where one or both of the headligths don't want to work.

Take the steering cowlings off and clean up the contacts on the wiper and light stalk switches.

lljS1424 Feb 2011, 08:03

with the RB25 transplant there is alot of plugs that are not used, ABS needs to be disconnected due to the coilovers.
If there are spare plugs just tuck them away neatly šŸ˜‰
The wiring can a be a bit of a dogs breakfast on the RB25 convertion šŸ™„ just work on neatening up the bay but dont cut plugs away just in case šŸ˜‚

BBigKriss24 Feb 2011, 09:49

"ABS needs to be disconnected due to the coilovers. "

Ah, some excellent advice, thanks bud.

CCharlvdw24 Feb 2011, 09:57

I don't think the ABS is that great anyway.

BBigKriss25 Feb 2011, 06:12

Oi !! Fitting any other type of seat into these cars is almost impossible.
I have had to chop and cut the Subaru seat in a bad way..

Fred, now know why your Bride seats are so high in your car bud. Almost nothing you can do if you do not want to modify them..

CCharlvdw25 Feb 2011, 07:02

Seeing that you haven't tried the Z32 seats yet, are they for sale?

lljS1425 Feb 2011, 07:44

unfortunately only the expensive seats like Sparco,Cobra Bride etc fit properly into the S14 , at over R10K a seat it was not option for me so i recovered mind with adding extra support on the sides šŸ˜‰

you basically have to put the seat on the floor to make a racing seat work šŸ™„

BBigKriss25 Feb 2011, 08:04

Being primarily a road car I dont want to fit my Cobra Monaco`s. Makes for a lot of unpleasantness for a daily..
Ill sort these out, will post pics. 8)

ddjtreble25 Feb 2011, 09:58

You need to remove the standard seat mount rail and get custom ones made (or buy off the net, there are plenty around).

I'll get a picture of mine ASAP for you.

Also try get side mount seats as they tend to sit at a nicer height than bottom mount buckets.

aaep88625 Feb 2011, 11:54

get ultra low mount rails... for S14 from Bride... they are very expansive... $300 a set i think

BBigKriss25 Feb 2011, 12:20

Got it quite low down but still not perfect. If I had to wear a helmet my head would touch the lining.. 😢 Now to fit all the covers and make it look the part..

Ill sort some thing out.

BBigKriss26 Feb 2011, 15:35

Ok boys an` girls.........I was taken for a ride in a S13 with RB26 powa !!!!!!

Not just any RB26 power but 700 odd engine hp !
All through GTR 4WD stuff on semi slicks !

FAAAARK !!!! I want !!
Now, I have owned big power Porsche, turbo Alfa`s etc,etc... Forget that stuff, this car is mental ! Yes, the Porsche is refined and understated where this thing is crazy bitch mental.
It is just so animalistic ! The gearbox gets slammed into every gear and it takes it without a moan..the car spins wheel right through into fourth gear..

Aargh !! I want !! and Im starting work on it already...
😮

Sorry, no pics or owner detail due to the oke wanting it to stay quiet..but I could not resist just mentioning it .. 8)
