So this weekend....Im painting the interior and cage.... next week i can start the wiring..... and fuel lines/Tank

CCharlvdw08 Sept 2011, 13:37

One question, why that motor?

BBooster08 Sept 2011, 14:07

like i mentioned. I have been following drifting locally....and mostly internationaly. But specifically the technicall bits of drift car builds. The yanks have methadology in there V8 displacments.
Instant power. no lag, and lots of torque.
Thats was the driving factor.

BBooster08 Sept 2011, 14:09

and actually...maybe coz im a tight ars....hahaha i got the motor from a mate of mine for a "CHEAP" price

DDracomoderator08 Sept 2011, 14:13

Very impressed!!!! Well done!

CCharlvdw08 Sept 2011, 15:00

Whats the power rating on those Ls1's?

PP3g4susmoderator08 Sept 2011, 15:18

I hate you so bad right now!

Very Jealous! So when Should this little monster be done?

ppoizenmoderator08 Sept 2011, 15:38

same motor the formula D car of enjuku racing was running and they did well very strong

BBooster08 Sept 2011, 16:03

cheers thanks guys.
Well the ls1 should make around 250 on the wheels.
With my bigger injectors beefed up fuel rails, Exhaust out the front fenders. im pretty sure itll get up too 300
i have a set of T28 turbos which i will run on the car.
However. for the first 6 months, im keeping her normally aspirated to set up the car and make sure everything is cool.
PLUS im just tired of fabricating now.....i want to race!
Turbos can wait....

well.....its tough working on the car primerely at night. But im planning on being finshed this November. Giving me enough time to set up early for next years season.
If it takes any longer im seriously gonna go mad :domo:

If im honest, im not after huge power figures in paper.
With the weight distribution i have implemented, and With the cars suspension set up.
The car should perform with 300hp.

BUT hey the more the merrier 🙂
Once i have the turbo set up im looking for about 700 NM at 3500rpm
but again....figures.... figures...
Lets see how quick she can get through a corner with wheels lit up and burning rubber

you are a super hero or some shit dude

why you wanted some one els to do it in the first place beats me as you can start your own shop lol

fark me but you are going to have mega angle on your drift with that lock

if you drive it right you will be playing with the big boys in the drift comps

BBooster08 Sept 2011, 18:03

Thanks but no dude. Anyone can cut and weld steel. Just takes some practice.
I can't take credit for the suspension stuff ! Those drift works dudes really supply kick ass shit. With out there suspension parts that lock wouldn't happen
But sweat man. Hopefully soon we will see this bad girl tearing it up

Well let's see. It's my nature to compete .....coming from racing enduro racing background.
But let's check. Building a legendary car and driving like a legend are two very diff things. But even if im shit. I'll still be smiling in there!!!! 😀
