Accidental 1.5Bar boost

PPhinx27 May 2007, 19:13

Hmmm

No problem

OK we will have to see the dyno charts
Good Luck hope you get the numbers

GGary5727 May 2007, 21:03

sounds like u dont believe?? what is the max my turbo can push then, u obviously know more than me (who drives the car everyday) and the other 5 or 10 guys in Aus with the same mods making roughly the same numbers. i will take anyone for a drive next time they in dbn and show them the 1bar at 2750rpm (which seems unbelievable to most) and will floor it and let them decide how much power is there.

HEHE Phinx strikes again. Dont worry Gary he has this habit of telling people who have actually have the T shirt how it really works whether he has the T shirt or not.

GGary5728 May 2007, 07:03

seems like it duane 😂 .

Ok Slow down there "Internet tuner" , I wasn't being rude to gary57 .
Im sure he can push the numbers on his set-up and has the dyno sheets to back it up.

He assumed that I was saying he was lying , I just asked what TD04H he had thats all.

An assumtion as the saying goes ,makes an "ASS" out of "U" and "ME" ---- "Assume"

The same way your statement did

vveecee28 May 2007, 11:03

i see you okes found your spoons!

GGary5728 May 2007, 11:03

Hmmm

No problem

What was this meant to mean then, if it wasnt a disagreement??

vveecee28 May 2007, 11:05

an agreement?

GGary5728 May 2007, 11:08

Ja maybe but it sounded like he was saying, "ja shut up you talking crap".

PPhinx28 May 2007, 11:25

look I wasn't looking for problems with the statement.

Coming from years and years of experience, countless hours researching, trying different combinations, seeing what works and what doesnt, scrapping thoughts and ideas and going back to the drawing board I have come to the conclusion that no, I dont understand how Phinxes head works 😛

But I dont think he was trying to be rude, he's just looking for the paperwork to back up the claims.

I already know how this dance works, you will yak a bit, he will yak a bit, callibrator will yak a bit, you will yak some more, he will yak some more, one or 2 other guys from the forums will yak a little bit inbetween and we'll see if we can get this post to 12 pages......

The shorter route, and I'm sure most will agree, if you have a dyno, post it, if you dont be prepared to get flamed until you do have a dyno. (yes you will still get a few stragglers that will complain even after you post a dyno, but those are the guys that dont understand that a dyno is a tool for measuring increases and shapes or graphs and comparing befores and afters and more importanly, tuning, its not the be all and end all of the "mine is better than yours" arguement) no-one has ever been lynched for being 5 or 10 kw out on the dyno than what they claimed they were.

GGary5728 May 2007, 11:49

Lets do it 😂 , never had one of my topics go to much more than 3 pages 😢 .

if you have a dyno, post it

Dont have one, only one is 152RwKw but that was before the WOLF, no water/meth and a chop behind the computer 😕 .

Oh ja forgot to mention the dyno is about 5-6 metres above see level 😂 .

for a second there i thought i read "below sea level"!!!

then i had a thought:

if you buy a car in netherlands, and drive it there, do you always get better than manufacturer performance claims - because testing is usually done at sea level???

Classic!

Probably but not much I would say, but I was never good at geography so how far below sea level is it again??

That was at low tide too 😂 . Im not lieing this place was in the harbour and if you went behind the builing you could piss into the water (ok I admit I did it aswell). Got to be the best venue to have a dyno.

sounds like an excellent place to pick up some...

RUST!!!!

GGary5728 May 2007, 12:03

HEHEHEHE

GGary5728 May 2007, 12:30

.Our cars make more power down here and get progessively faster as we loose weight due to body panels rusting off 😂

vveecee28 May 2007, 12:31

stoopid saltwater!!!!

got a TD04H, its about the same a/r as the T28. ja 180 odd kw is strong, so can u imagine what it was like at 1.5bar, dislex is going to have neck problems with that much torque on high boost.

Tell me more about this TD04H bussiness? How did you get it to fit the manifold? is the flange the same 😕
