I am new to this site so hi to all 200sx club members
Ive redone the hole engin with a set of ARIAS pistons but the ignition timing is 25 degrees before TDC can not get it to 15 degrees before TDC.
and my crank angel sensor is turned fully clockwise what can i do to fix this probem thanks.

I have seen this before on CA 18's
1st check that your cam timing is spot on it is very easy to be one tooth out on the crank. This means each cam is half a tooth out and it looks ok to the casual inspection.

Agreed check the cam timing its happened to me before.
do you still have the keyway to line up the CAS or has it broken off?

Because you can put it a tooth out if so.

VVladeadmin13 Aug 2007, 07:08

Agreed... 😀

that is what i was looking for on the velve timing i even counted the cambelt teeth between the crank and the cams.every thinng is on spec this is how i installed my cam belt i lined up my crank to TDC thats the second mark on pully then my cams the ex cam first then the intake i spended 12k on this engin and it doesnt look good for me

All the marks on the engin CAS is still on it .If i drive the car push it up to 4000rpm and floor it slowly my oil dipstick push out and the engin doesnt sound smooth

PPhinx13 Aug 2007, 09:56

Very bad Blow-by will do that

Check you PCV system and do a Compression Test.

Are you sure all the clearances are correct when you assembled the motor??

JJurie12313 Aug 2007, 10:16

yes so that meens i must pull it out

GGary5713 Aug 2007, 10:18

yes so that meens i must pull it out

Not untill you have triple check everything first, maybe get a 2nd opinion?!

JJurie12313 Aug 2007, 10:19

what i ment was pull the engin out and start over

GGary5713 Aug 2007, 10:21

what i ment was pull the engin out and start over

What I meant was no, not unless you are 100% certain its in the motor.

JJurie12313 Aug 2007, 10:23

lets do the compresion test first and see wats up thanks

JJurie12313 Aug 2007, 10:29

is it poseble that it is the manigmint system its still standerd

GGary5713 Aug 2007, 10:40

is it poseble that it is the manigmint system its still standerd

I doubt it but it depends on what you have to the motor, CR cams etc.

So you're saying that it drives nicely, but starts to vibrate over 4000rpm? If so, I had a similar issue, turned out to be the idler pulley not rotating, hence causing vibrations in the timing belt, hence causing vibrations from the engine.

JJurie12313 Aug 2007, 14:18

no the driving the car is smooth its the timing thats the problem and oil dipstick the copresion rasio was tested at 0.9kpa wich is cood

JJurie12313 Aug 2007, 14:20

sorry thats 0.9 bars

GGary5713 Aug 2007, 14:56

Have you tried a leakage test??
