Next of next event, maybe when it's warmed

It would be nice if we all go away for a weekend? Take the cars on the long road (if someone remembers fuses, someone jumper cables, someone tow robe 🙄 🙄 )

We could go the friday, sleep over friday and saturday night and come back sunday after brunch, then wifes, girlfriends, partners will surely come?
We can take our own food, webbers, gas braais, and we're set?

Just a thought

i think its a fantastic idea...

but, my fiance' is almost ready to pop, so i dont think the whole family will be able to make it.

The other day I made it to Hazyview and back. Used up a bit of petrol/oil and I think I have a warrant or two in Mpumalanga but the car actually loved the long road.

We'll just take enough towing equipment and tools with, just in case 😛

I like this idea. yes buget permitted. But I admit. That R40-00 is nice and cheap. I think the sx's will make it. Good time to run in some engins. 😂 😂 8) Why not, lets do this?

DDracomoderator06 Sept 2007, 14:06

I think this is going to be great!!!!

IIan06 Sept 2007, 14:28

It sounds good to me, and a SX loves the open road. I did over 2000km in march this year while i was on leave down by the south coast. Getting almost almost 14km/L at one stage.

VVladeadmin06 Sept 2007, 15:11

Jeeez... 😳 Mine barely makes 8km/L think its more like 5km/L

IIan06 Sept 2007, 15:27

My Sx is still totally stock, even the exhaust (except for rear silencer) and i was on holiday and in no rush. My baby girl was only 4 months old, her first time at the beach and she loved it. I can do with another holiday like that.

Then when we go to Sabie, we grab the okie 200sxMP along. short drive for him 😂

wwidowmaker07 Sept 2007, 20:51

I do about 5 000km per month with my car....and I boost everywhere violating MX6's(My fav), Polo TDI's, VR6's, etc on a daily basis... had one bearing knock in 2 yrs but thats cos I didnt know anything about turbos when I bought my SX and I never changed the oil for a good 15 000km's.

Golf 1 to 200sx - big jump with loadsa lessons about doing services regular basis.

THe bearing ran after attempting doughnuts and after that I raced a pumped Audi A3, then it broke.

The oke that stripped everything and put it back together did a good job but now he's not around. Turbo Obsession....

I think the SX is Strong, its just the ammount of driver satisfaction you get from it that leads to you hammering it all the time....hence the significant breakdowns....

Thats what I think anyways my SX is still stock...

WWooHaa12 Oct 2007, 08:58

do 200Sx's go far without breaking down.

Hmmm,look at my pic below.
I did DBN to JHB in about 2Hours 45min in my first SX. (no plates)
Constantly did 220 / 240km/h

Did that trip about 5 times in one year. Okay so so fast the other times. kept the car at 180/220km/h for thos trips.

Still had the car as a daily driver between those trips......All I did was service the thing.

P.S.
It was on a new motor as the old one popped just after I bought it.
