I also saw BF Goodrich banners at the Tyger Wheel and Tyre in Woodmead, so maybe they sell them too.

Buy TOYO T1R.

VVladeadmin29 Oct 2007, 12:54

Phone ATS, they have some good prices on Semi slicks... Road legal ones

DDracomoderator29 Oct 2007, 13:42

I thaught about that, aperently the going rate of km's on a set of tires are about 10 000km's, that is a bit low for me, then also what would that tires do in the wet...?

GGary5729 Oct 2007, 13:53

I have done 20000km on my set and have about 4mm tread left. I rate I will get another 10 000km out of them. But they are R1250ea so pretty steep. They are the best tyres I have ever had, that is Mitchelin, Yoki, Pirelli, Bridgestone.

DDracomoderator29 Oct 2007, 13:58

Thanks Gary, some say it is good others say it's crap, I don't know an up here they go for about R1500 on the size I want, that is very steap, as for the semi slicks, I want but as I said, km's and wet handling....

GGary5729 Oct 2007, 14:03

Go to http://www.1010tires.com , they give reviews on the tyres. You wont look back at the TOYO's. I sometimes bitch they grip too well cause I cant get it sideways, or maybe I need more power.

DDracomoderator29 Oct 2007, 14:14

Thanks I will check it out

DDracomoderator29 Oct 2007, 14:29

I checked that tires out Gary, it has the same pattern than the dunlop 7000D and regal 3100D....I got the regal 3100 on now and it's not bad, and it is R650 a tire

GGary5729 Oct 2007, 15:44

Ja I had those dunlop/regals on my Opel and they are pretty good for the price. In the wet they suck, but that makes it more fun hey.

The reason I went with the TOYO T1R's is for the sake of R2000 I am not risking my life, especially when I have more power than most cars that use those tyres, BM's ect.

DDracomoderator29 Oct 2007, 15:49

I must say the regals holds good, in the wet I havn't had problems unless I boost then I loose traction easily, but I think all tires will loose traction in the wet under boost....

DDracomoderator31 Oct 2007, 14:09

I have been doing some research on the ratings of the toyo proxes T1R's and the toyo proxes 4's.....

To my surprise the price and ratings are better for the proxes 4 than for the proxes T1R.

GGary5731 Oct 2007, 14:21

DONT USE THE PROXES 4!!!!!

I did the same thing and researched it, went out and bought the Proxes 4 and they are rubbish. They are more for lighter cars so they roll alot on the sidewalls. I drove for 300km then took them back and got the T1R's. If I had stayed with the Proxes I wouldnt have an sx anymore, I would of crashed and died.

DDracomoderator31 Oct 2007, 14:33

Thanks gary....noted 😉

SStephen Swanepoel31 Oct 2007, 15:08

Sorry I disagree
Ive used Proxes 4 for a long time now and I love em,
